nlmguerrero got a reaction from Frustr8 in Bowels after surgery
I was told I would have blood in my stool due to the cutting inside and the blood has to exit somehow. If it lasts longer than two days though, I'll be calling my surgeon

nlmguerrero got a reaction from Frustr8 in Bowels after surgery
Sorry that this is graphic but I want to know if anyone else is having horrible diarrhea. I had surgery yesterday. Today, I have horrible bloody diarrhea. I was told I would have blood in my stool because of the surgery but this is insane. Anyone else have this problem?

nlmguerrero got a reaction from FluffyChix in Anyone gluten free??
Pre surgery, i used to have a rash on my back. Since surgery 12/14/16, I haven't had any bread and the rash is gone. I'm assuming I had a gluten allergy. Does anyone know if that's a sign of being gluten intolerant?

nlmguerrero got a reaction from chynadoll619 in My Journey so far
It's crazy to see pictures before because that is not who I saw. I feel I am more of a reflection of who I am now, than before my surgery. My "before" pic was taken in March of 2016. Three months later, I began my journey.

nlmguerrero reacted to kstatewmn in Scared
So I had surgery on 2.21. Still glad I did it and found out I'm really not as big of a wuss as I thought. I go back tomorrow for my 2 week post op. I appreciate every one that provided their perspective. Now starts the battle. 2 week pre op I weighed 288 and today weigh 266, I realize I should be excited with the weight I have lost but I was hoping for more. I go back to work on Monday and not sure a person could even tell if I lost any weight.

nlmguerrero reacted to Working Hard in Edgy and short tempered
So I'm 31 day post-op and I've found I'm very short tempered and edgy. It comes and goes but it can be bad at times. I just started Walk/jogging and feel great now. But is this normal? Has anyone else gone through this or going through this? Any advise is welcomed... Thanks!

nlmguerrero got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Cruise three month post op?
I'm 7 weeks post op with gastric bypass. I honestly feel fine. Hard to imagine but it's true. You get creative with what you eat and I definitely think traveling will be just fine. Congrats and have fun on your trip

nlmguerrero got a reaction from LovelyLola41 in Love weighing myself
I NEVER thought I'd say that I love getting on a scale. Every time I would go to the doctor's office, I was the person that would refused to be weighed. I didn't want the reminder that I was overweight when I know by looking in the mirror every day.
Ever since I started the journey in June 2016, I've had to step on a scale. After surgery, I have weighed myself once a week. I now LOOK FORWARD to it.

nlmguerrero reacted to Mikkos in Ugh....6 months?!?!
I started my 6 month diet at the end of August, and my last dietitian appointment is this Monday. At first I was upset that I had to wait 6 months, but now I'm grateful for the time. Now I've had a chance to really understand the lifestyle changes and get used to them. I feel really confident that I will be successful after the surgery, and I don't think I would have the same attitude without the time spent reading, researching, and changing. Also, the time has gone by really fast! Now I'm just hoping that everything is approved by my insurance, and I get a surgery date for next month. Good luck to you, and try to stay positive!
