  1. Yeah my NUT and Dr are strict to in comparison. I see some of these posts and I'm like your Dr said what?!? Like wish it was me sometimes:) lol but glad too for the guidelines and tough love:) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Thanks for your reply! These are the replies I seek actual REAL experiences. Previously I enjoyed wine and cocktails maybe once or twice at month maximum. Not a big drinker but enjoyed them occasionally. So at 6 months do you actually enjoy it as much as before or do you have any different experiences as how to it makes you feel? 3. Yes I'm aware of the carbonation and never drank beer no will. Don't like it. Yes I read that but again was interested in people's actual experiences they've had this far. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I didn't mention beer and don't see it mentioned anywhere else. Perhaps going forward if you want to quote someone else on someone post you click quote on their specific post. You didn't say sick you may want to go back and read what you wrote and yes the tone was rather rude. Thanks and you too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Thanks for your reply Yes my book clearly outlines no carbonated beverages too, but have no desire. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Please point out to me where I said anything about beer?? I'll wait...exactly I didn't! I understand why they don't that wasn't a question. I merely asked for peoples experiences who had. Don't you think if I read I couldn't drink for a year I continued reading as to their reasons listed?! Thanks for including your experience, but next time I could do without all the assumptions and extra. Just so you know I wasn't looking to drink because if I wanted to I wouldn't have posted a post for permission as I'm an adult. Rather I wanted to read about others direct experiences. Just curious like that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm 7 weeks now but not looking to drink just curious as to others experiences of people really waited a full year and outcomes. Thanks for answering the question Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm well aware the size of my stomach! As a mother not even going to bother answering this! A simple answer SPECIFICALLY to the question would have been appreciated NOT the sarcasm. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I'm sure mine will be the same and I will be like you. Haven't had a desire just wanted to see others experiences. Thanks for the reply Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. Thanks for your input Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. My bariatric book advises not to drink alcohol for a year. My sister who had the surgery 4 years ago said she doesn't recall waiting a year and more than likely didn't. Just wondering if you all waited a year or how long you waited AND how you felt after vs. before? I hear you become intoxicated fairly quick. Thx! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Thanks for sharing and inspiring me on my new journey! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Rome! Can't wait to travel to Rome. Yeah my stats are close to when I started was 215 and got down to 192 for surgery. As of yesterday I'm 167 and surgery was 12/1/16. I had no horror stories! For the most part it was as expected with the pain the first day and a half but the hospital drugs took care of that:) All the best to you! 16. Hi Everyone, I've found I love the chewy (not chewable) Vitamins offered by Bariatric Advantage! This includes the multi Vitamin, calcium, & Iron. Wondering if anyone else is doing the same but may know where to get them cheaper or any other manufacturers that taste the same but at a better price? The vitamin potency needs to be the same not looking to comprise that for price but wondering if there were options? Thx! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. I'm 6 1/2 weeks out and the last two weeks have been stalls:(. I know these are to be expected but wondering if anyone can shed some light as to why and especially so early on. Also, I've just started working out this past Monday which will help I think:) lol What have you done to see results in pushing pass these stalls? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Pray it goes smoothly today as I'm sure it will! Typically they want two week of Liver Reduction Diet but I only did one and was approved for one because I was not severely obese. So I did a full week of nothing but smoothies the week before but again trust your surgeon and most of all your higher power. Let us know how you do please.
