  1. To everyone asking how to join the group: you have to join it on the desktop version. The app won't let you. Just search December 2016 sleevers. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Lucky you! I have terrible nausea and had to stay three days. I'm day 4 post op Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I'm having hunger too (4 days post op) and I started to think "everyone said they didn't want to look at food after surgery. What is wrong with me!" I think our body's take a long time to tell our minds what is going on. My hunger is for things that I know if I started eating I would throw up. I drink 4 ozs of a Protein drink and I'm full. It's just that head hunger and that takes time to adjust. Try to remember this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I have them above my belly button to below my chest. My binder covers the entire surface. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'm on day 5, but I plan to wear it all least until my 2 week follow up appt. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App Medical supply stores and they're online just google bariatric sleeve binder Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. I'm always happy to see 20 somethings getting bariatric surgery. I'm 21 and it's good to take control of your life early. Basically you need to find a schedule that works for you. You never have to eat anything you dislike! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Yes I did! That must be it. I had to drink so much where I told the doctor "I don't think I should be drinking this much at once." Thank you so much. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I'm wondering if I should get a fit bit. I got my surgery December 16th and was looking into a couple things while I have some down time. Does it really keep everyone motivated or is it one of those things where you're over it by week 3? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I'm on clear liquids. Dumping syndrome doesn't happen with the sleeve according to my nutritionist. I was just worried seeing most are constipated and I was opposite. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Every time I read a BM thread on here it's about constipation post op. I am 4 days post op and have had diarrhea for every BM. I also just started my period today so I don't know if these two things are linked. Anyone else experience diarrhea for their initial BMs? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. I can't believe my surgery is here. Two weeks ago - the start of my liquid diet - feels like forever ago. Longest two weeks ever! It doesn't help that I also was taking law school final exams while on the pre-op diet (I know, I'm crazy). I'm doing the clear liquid diet today and I am starving. I can't wait to get this done and over with and begin my new life. I'm having some last minute doubts but I know those are just nerves. Send some positive vibes to Michigan! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. I'm on day 10 of my two week pre-op diet and yes, I know I'm in the final stretch. I have my surgery Friday. How is everyone doing with the carb cravings? Mine are insane! I literally dream of bread! Any ideas on what to do? I get all my Protein in every day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. According to Buddhism, the 12 laws of Karma dictate our lives based on what our thoughts, speech, and actions. I'm not a religious person but these helped me today to remind me why I am on this journey. 1. The Great Law: “As you sow, so shall you reap.” 2. The Law of Creation: “What we desire comes through participation.” 3. The Law of Humility: “Refusal to accept what is will still be what is.” 4. The Law of Growth: “Our own growth is above any circumstance.” 5. The Law of Responsibility: “Our lives are of our own doing, nothing else.” 6. The Law of Connection: “Everything in the Universe is connected, both large and small.” 7. The Law of Focus: “One cannot direct attention beyond a single task.” 8. The Law of Hospitality and Giving: “Demonstrating our selflessness shows true intentions.” 9. The Law of Change: “History repeats itself unless changed." 10. The Law of Here and Now: “The Present is all we have.” 11. The Law of Patience and Reward: “Nothing of value is created without a patient mindset.” 12. The Law of Significance and Inspiration: “The best reward is one that contributes to the Whole."
  24. Have my scope tomorrow and I don't really know what to expect. Anybody want to explain? Surgery date is one week away! Can't wait. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I haven't had surgery yet. My date is the 16th of December. I'm on day 6 of my liquid diet. Do not give up! Read success stories every time you want to give up. I suggest premier Protein. Best tasting shake by far. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
