    Pain in belly

Usually 48 hours but it's gentle so I would keep taking it until you have a movement. Has anything changed? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Thanks. I found a way to take it. My doctor took me off everything and said only take what you need. I have bad anxiety, depression, was taking cholesterol medicine, high blood pressure medicine, anxiety medicine, and he told me to just stop everything but the important ones. There was no way. I would have died so I researched all my Meds on what I could take and made sure they were smaller than an M&M. Then I just spaced out everything that I needed to take throughout the day and it's been fine. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Yea. I read online how to take the Cymbalta. I can't go without it right now. You aren't supposed to break the capsules but I found out through research if you open the capsules, mix the beads with applesauce on a spoon, and take it that way, you won't have any problems. It's only for the first 30 days I have to do that. It's so hard to stop taking it! Especially when my mom died 2 years ago and my Dad is just now interested in someone. I'm not ready! I am really close with my Dad and I'm not ready for someone to be in my mom's shoes. Especially when I miss her so much!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Yea. I'm going to. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Yea. It sucks. It really does but I'm ready to be off of it. It's increasing my restless legs problem. The zaps are awful but it's a good thing I haven't been on it that long. Thank God. I'm glad you got through it and thank you for the encouragement. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Yea. I've been through it before with another medication. I started back on the med and will wean myself off slower. I have Ativan so that's helping with the anxiety. I have a follow up with him next week and will be talking to my PCP if it doesn't get better. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Hi THart, Thankfully I don't have kids and I am not to the hungry point yet. I had my surgery on the 15th. My experience has been pretty good so far. Just focusing on making sure I get enough liquids. Talking about it a lot helps. I talk my Dad's ear off about and posting here has been helping as well. I think the biggest thing is just to know that it's a process. Things won't be this difficult for long. I have a cousin that had the surgery done a year ago. She was 300 plus pounds. She couldn't hold down a job and had personal life issues. A year later, she's working in Paris at her dream job and eating normally but it much smaller portions. She is doing great and very happy she did it. It changed her life in such a positive way. It's all about staying positive and on the right track. For me, it's helping just to be able to talk about my weight with others and actually admitting my problems. I hated going any where before because I was just ashamed of myself and I hope that will be getting better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. I'm started walking the dosage down today with counting the beads. I have other anxiety Meds that are helping and I have to get off other Meds before and the withdrawal was much worse than this. It's not capsules but it's the extended release capsules that he doesn't want sitting on my stomach. It was Dr. Bonnor in Katy. Other than the medications, I would say everything else went good. I'm trying the bead thing so we will see how it goes! Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate everything!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sleeved on 11/14

I just had mine done on the 15. I didn't have any of those complications but I thought I was going to. The pain med that I am using is a liquid low dose of Hydrocodone that has Acetaminophen in it. It has been doing great with no nausea. I would recommend that pain med with some gatorade. I can also say walk, walk, walk, walk. It really helped me a lot. Also, one trick with the gas pains that helped is take a really deep breath and hold for a few seconds and keep it tight. Keep doing that and it helped with the pain a lot. Good luck to you! It will get better soon!
  12. Hello, I just had the Gastric Sleeve on 11/15/16. I had to stop taking Cymbalta cold turkey after the surgery because it is a delayed release capsule and you can't take those after surgery. The pill doesn't come in any other form. I am having some withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety and bran zaps. Did anyone else have to do this? Any advice or suggestions on the process? Thanks! Lauren

    Pain in belly

It sound like you may be constipated a little bit. Try some magnesium citrate powder. It is a very gentle stool softener and laxative. You might want to take smaller sips or spread them a little further apart. I had that feel a few times. That's what I did and it helped drastically.
