I'm married, so you got me on that one. I can tell you that my younger sister and her friends are all about sexting and hooking up vs. relationships. They are also mostly about STD's so, what do they know...lol.
Hang in there. If I were single, I wouldn't be doing all that ish, I can't be the only one.

41 lbs in 8 weeks is amazing! I was sleeved 10/16 and am down 42 lbs. 20 lbs a month is great. Continue on your plan, make sure you are moving, and the results will come. Slow and steady seems like a better approach than quickly for skin purposes. It's a lifestyle change. We didn't put the weight on in 3 months, so we can't expect to lose it in 3 months. Just imagine where we will be October of 2018!!! Keep up the good work

Today I had my 4 month post surgery checkup. I am no longer in the obese category! Per my doc’s PA I have lost 62% of my excess weight. She said that their goal for all patients is to make it under a bmi of 30 and I am now 28.73. Woohoo for just being overweight!!
Can’t wait to see what month 5 brings along with the new year. Let’s do this!! ‍♀️

This is such an interesting question. I didn't purposely tell a lot of people beforehand, and I have never mentioned it at work because I don't talk about personal stuff at work, it's kind of a formal office.
That said, since the surgery, many people have asked me for my "diet secret", and I am always open and say, I had weight loss surgery. You asked about what bad things people can say-- they don't say "bad" things in my experience, it's more of a "ohhhhh, so you took the easy way out" kind of thing. Which annoys me because it is NOT easy, the first few months are horrible, and even now, 8 months out, I don't eat sugar, bread, or any other simple carbohydrates. I don't drink fizzy anything, I take a gazillion Vitamins day and night, and I measure my Protein and fluids every day to make sure I don't lose muscle or get weak and light-headed.
Is it worth it? Hell yes! I've been following diet rules for years with nowhere near these results, so following the rules and actually losing weight is a dream come true. And most people just tell me "you look great" and move on, no big conversation wanted or needed. But the only bad I can think of is the perception that you don't earn this weight loss-- which is silly and totally wrong, but whatever.
Whatever you choose, there is no right or wrong way to do it, imho. Also-- I think you'll be pretty damn happy with your life and weight loss, so that cushions the blow. Good luck!!

It was never a question for me. I was going to tell everyone and I have. That way, I control the dialog. What could they possible say behind my back that is worse than what they were saying behind my back when I was bigger. If people are going to be underhanded and deceitful in their dealings with me they were always that way and not worth my time. You do you. Tell who you want.
By having surgery and being open and honest about my experience, the ripple effect has helped at least 5 others that I know take that leap and have the surgery and their lives are changed forever, Now instead of getting together to eat out, we take a class, go zip lining, or spend the day at an amusement park.

That is so awesome to hear. I would be so happy if a few people can be inspired and take that step and take charge of their health. I also think this secret is not letting me lose weight to my full potential. Today I am 4 months post op and this month only lost 6 pounds.... I feel like if more people knew I can be more talkative about it and help myself in this mental game of struggling all by myself. All this lying is making me stressed out! But I'm afraid my peace will be broken once people know and I won't feel confident in my decision to have the surgery. Having people say I took the "easy" way out and that I lied about how I lost the weight...will make me even more stressed I think. Can you tell how confused and anxious I am:/

    Oye...
Ok. I'll take a crack at your questions.
    1. Will you be recovered in time to go to work in a week, do a big day, etc? Every body is different. But consider this. For the first couple of days after surgery, you don't get any calories...just Clear Liquids. Eventually, you get to alternate clear liquids with 4oz of Protein Shake. If you do that every hour all day....you end up with about 400 calories for the day. You do this for a week. Have you ever been on a starvation diet for a week before? How did you feel?
People's recoveries vary. I, personally, had a very easy time with surgery. The lady next to me vomited from the moment she woke up and couldn't stop. She ended up staying extra days in the hospital to get it under control. At one week out, I feel pretty terrific. I've been shopping, cleaning the house, wrapping presents, visiting friends. Another lady I know has been back to her doctor's twice for IV fluids because the inflammation in her tummy is too tight for her to get enough fluids in by mouth. She's still having a rough time, but she's making progress. There are no guarantees how your body will react. One thing to be aware of is how foggy you can feel when you're eating so few calories.....it can effect your memory, your decision making....you might not be as sharp and ready to take on problems as you usually would be.

    2. How soon can you do weight training. I have no idea. But I was given a lift limit of 10 pounds when I left the hospital. So for at least the first week...weights are out. Walking is your best friend, and you're going to want to do a lot of it to work out the uncomfortable gas after surgery if you're having it done laparoscopically.

    3. The multiple little scars from a laparoscopic surgery are MUCH preferable to a giant incision in an open procedure. The scars will fade in a year or so and should blend in with stretch marks if you have any...they're no biggie.
    4. I'm a night time eater, too. Whoever told you you wouldn't be hungry anymore....meh...maybe that's their experience, but it's hardly universal. I'm hungry as hell. But the cool thing is that half a cup of sugar free oatmeal feels like i've eaten a whole pizza now. Easy to get full and feel content.
    5. You don't have to drink plain Water. You can drink decaffeinated coffee and tea all you want and it counts as water. Plain water is really good for you and you should try to drink it more...but don't stress if you can't manage it. flavored water works just fine. So does broth and Jello.

PS....even if you've already paid, you can still back out. This is a life changing serious commitment. You are changing your anatomy forever. Make sure you are fully committed.

I'm a morning gal. Up at 4:30, in the gym at 5:30 (long commute to civilization). This is my undeterred schedule 5 days a week and sometimes on weekends. I have tons of energy and it gives me no time to make excuses or other plans that might prevent me with following through with my commitment. I don't know if it's better for you or not, but it's better for me.

MowryRocks got a reaction from Subaru in Do you have take out/Fast food?
Ok...this comment is sure to bring out the haters, but I eat out about once or twice a week. Fast food and sit down. I'm 13 months out and 110lbs down.
Fast food is usually a quarter pound patty - no bread. I order the small fries and eat about 5 (or I steal a few from the kids)
Breakfast - side of eggs, side of sausage (eat about half the sausage)
Last night for dinner I had about 2/3 of a Sonic cheese coney dog (regular size not the footlong)
Regardless of what I eat...I stay within my calories and prioritize my Protein.
I also workout 6 times a week and take my transformation very seriously and I continue to lose because I am committed to losing weight and committed to not going backwards. If I started to gain...I would cut it out immediately.

You know what I hate worse than d**k pix? Guys who can't communicate. If a brilliant conversationalist who makes me laugh wants to show me his parts...I might just want a peek. Yep, i'm bad.
But you've gotta pay to play that game. You need erotic writing skill. You need a mastery of language. You need the ability to completely capture my mind....before I want anything to do with your naughty bits.
And I don't just mean the ability to talk dirty. We need commonality, similar values, similar politics, similar creativity and twisted humor, compassion, intelligence, emotional intelligence.
Yep, I've got a LOT of tough criteria. But if the guy fits THAT bill? They can send me all the skin shots they want. But not one minute before.
If a boring guy sends me a shot of his junk, I use paint to make a weird cartoon out of it and send it back. Then, I delete them. That kinda stuff should never be a surprise.

Be careful, sending/receiving naked pictures can land you in jail. I would dump this person immediately and delete them, and get your number changed - I'm serious. If you still want to pursue the online thing this way - get a burner phone.
Join something - hiking group, conservation group, etc. I don't know all of your interests so it's hard to recommend a lot. Dance lessons, IDK
    Don't give up...

This is like just about anything else with relationships--some people are into it, some people are indifferent, some hate it. You will find plenty of women who want to get to know a guy before the topic (much less the activity) of sex comes up. There's little doubt that online is a great place to meet people, especially for older people who don't have the world of college or singles gatherings of all their friends. But think about what kind of dating sites you join: some are much more about hooking up randomly and others are about finding a relationship. It's still possible you'll run into random naked pictures on the more serious sites, but it's a smaller percentage of people. ignore the stuff that you find inappropriate and follow the basic pattern of emailing a couple of times, asking for a phone number, talking on the phone, then meeting for coffee or a drink. That will work most of the time . . . and don't get discouraged. There will be people who don't look like their pictures and people you have no chemistry with and so on--but there is hope out there. Stick to it and you'll meet someone.

    600lbs2Beast YouTube Video

Hi everybody! My name is Brandon. I have actually had two weight loss surgeries since 2010. At my heaviest I was 600lbs. My first surgery was the Gastric Sleeve. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. I on the other hand did not. I had lost probably close to 150lbs, but after getting discouraged from a plateau that seemed like it was never going to end and eating food I couldn't stand. I fell completely off of the wagon and started eating fast food again. I ballooned back up over 500lbs. At the time of my 2nd surgery (mini gastric bypass) I was weighing in at 526lbs. This time I got down to around 380lbs. I still wasn't doing my part. So I hovered there for over a couple of years. I would have short spurts of times I'd workout and eat healthy. They usually started before vacation and ended on vacation. I always gained the weight back. This past March I started up again. I did good until May 1st, where I got depressed due to my business taking a huge hit. I had went from just under 380 down to 355. From May 1st to June 27th I went back up to 376. I am proud to say that from June 27th to today I have went down to 313.4lbs. I eat 1200 calories a day (mostly protein) Mon-Fri and whatever I want (within reason) up to 2500 calories a day Sat-Sun. I try to workout a minimum of 5 days a week. (Sometimes I don't hit that goal, but those weeks are far and few between) Some weeks I do all 7 days. For my workouts I walk/ruck 3 miles a day. I started with one and worked my way up. When 3 became easy, I started rucking. I started with 20lbs and am now up to 50lbs. For the most part, that is what I have been doing. I have a goal I am trying to hit by Jan 1st 2018. I am trying to be 299lbs or less. It will be the first time I was below 300lbs in 14 years! My goal weight (for now) is 250lbs. I plan on focusing on building as much muscle as possible once I hit that goal. But yea, this is my story in a nutshell! I'd love to talk to or answer any questions anyone might have. I have a youtube channel that I have started with the hopes of helping others that are where I am or where I've been along my journey. I only have 4 videos at the moment. I had a real struggle with post the video I linked up top. I just uploaded it a couple of days ago, but recorded it over 2 months ago. I've actually lost about 21lbs since I recorded it. I'm not really good with the whole forum thing but will try to respond to people on here in a timely manner. (If anyone says anything lol) I am also on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter(I'm not great on twitter) Kik Messenger etc if anyone would like to talk(replies at those places are easier foir me and would be quicker)... Should be able to find me by looking for "600lbs2Beast" I do work nights, so please don't rage on me if I don't reply right away during the day. Lol Thank you for reading a bit about my story!

I've been looking to make more friends. Been separated for a long time, down 101 pounds with 39 to go...have my self confidence back, and want to meet women or a nice woman to spend time with. It's been 18 years since I've been in this "game" and am getting discouraged.
Wanting to meet for things like walking/hiking, meet for coffee, maybe go to movies, etc.
Here's my dilemma. What's with this sexting crap? I mean if I were in a committed relationship and we wanted to flirt with some pictures maybe that's one thing. But just meeting someone over the internet and never in person yet, and the next thing you know you've gone from getting regular face pics to naked pictures on your phone?!?
I know some of you would not mind this but that's not me or what I'm looking for. I genuinely want to become friends with someone by spending time together.
Are there still people out there like me or is everyone just looking for a hookup?
