  1. I was in excruitating pain for the first 2 weeks, finally in my 3rd week post op my doctor found out I had a kidney infection. Strong antibiotics, fluids, rest and I think I now have the normal port site post op. So if you feel your pain is not normal, then notify them. It's your body and you know it best. Good luck.
  2. I am 2 weeks post op and eating 800-1000 calories a day, focusing on getting my protein grams in. Unfortunately I have not lost one ounce. I don't understand how this can be. Any thoughts?????
  3. I had my band placed 3/3/08. I spent 3 days in the hospital for complications of pain/vomiting. To date i have not lost one ounce. My daily calories are 800 to 1000 and I am getting in about 45-60 grams of Protein daily. I still have constant pain at the port site which at times is almost unbearable. (I have an extremely high pain tolerance so this concerns me, but my doctor has no thoughts.) Is there anyone else who has had no weight loss in the first 2 weeks? What am I doing wrong.
  4. It is absolutely essential that you contact your surgeon's office way before this much time has passed - obstruction is a serious issue and can have dire results if not treated right away. The fiber is very important as well as your Water intake. Good luck.
  5. I'm sort of in agreement with you, but as you said you did this for a reason. 22 is very young to be making such a permanent lifestyle change. Contact your psychosocial worker. I know this is not an impulsive decision for anyone but none of us know exactly how we will be affected afterwards. My thoughts for you, rushing into removal is impulsive, as human beings we are very adapable and hopefully this will pass too. Good luck with your journey. :tea:
  6. I am 4 days post op (3 spent in the hospital). Did anyone else have severe and uncontrollable pain, wretching and nausea? Right now this is the biggest mistake of my life. I have had many surgeries and medical problems and nothing has compared to the pain of this procedure. :confused2:
