    Side by side comparison

chicken. Definitely chicken. Ground turkey is a close second. Still trying to keep Protein as my #1. I don't use the shakes anymore but I do keep the protein powder on hand just in case I feel the need. No Pasta because it's an all time favorite and I'm sure I'd keep going with it. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App Thank you for the answer to the food question. So what made you quit the Protein Shakes? I'm only a few weeks in from my sleeve surgery. You look great! How much have you lost? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using the BariatricPal App
  3. Some people throw up because they can't tolerate the pain meds. I hope you feel better soon. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using the BariatricPal App
  4. I wonder about that myself? I have seen the results that my doctor has had with other people who did surgery through him. So, I am trusting my doctor's rules are the way to go for me. I know people who have had RNY who look like they had RNY who never drank another soda and I know people who have had the RNY that don't look like they have ever had any weight loss surgery and are back to eating almost anything they want to. I'm of the opinion that "getting back to normal" should never be the goal. I hope that your doctor's program works for you, but you are asking the right questions. 5. I was 3 weeks out from my surgery yesterday. My family was aware of my limits and I wasn't supposed to "start soft foods and chew them until they are liquids" (my doctor's exact words) until today. I did have a super tiny bit of turkey and miniscule bit of dressing and was literally stuffed the rest of the day! I'm glad I am like this now. Maybe I won't be morbidly obese for the rest of my life! What a beautiful blessing! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using the BariatricPal App

    Gastroparesis

Are you diabetic? That is a common problem when diabetic. Just make sure that your stomach has extra days to empty before 11/28. You can do this! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using the BariatricPal App

    1 month until sleeve

I guess it depends on your weight-loss surgeon, because mine has a very specific diet to follow before and after surgery. The 1st week after surgery you do Clear liquids which is any clear liquids. I had my surgery 3 days ago and my only complaint with the clear liquids is that my hip and low back hurt. I am going to order the flavorless Protein powder just for my muscles. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using the BariatricPal App
