I had partial gastrectomy with RNY September 8 for diabetic gastroparesis. Was only on liquids 24 hrs before and then of course nothing from midnight on. LOL. I remember nothing. I woke up at midnight after surgery, went for a walk and drank some Water. I took a total of two pain pills both days in hospital and regular Tylenol after that. Since surgery, I've had good days and some not so good days. I stick to mostly liquids and still take zofran for nausea a couple times a week. Overall, I'm doing better than before surgery. Best of luck
