I had my first fill this week and it was so completely painless and quick that I just wanted to share that with you. I know that some fills are more difficult than others and that the port being in a good position is of utmost inportance. The thought that someone is going to access my port located in my stomach with a NEEDLE sounded awful to me. I felt nothing as the Physician from Fill Center USA filled the port in a couple of minutes. They placed me on a table in a reclining position, placed the needle in the port and then stood me upright. The nurse handed me a bottle of water and told me to drink it and the Physician filled (overfilled) the port which caused it to feel like I was trying to swallow a golf ball. Then he backed down on the fill and water flowed freely and painlessly as I drank it and that was the final level of fill appropriate for me. I was up and feeling file immediately after the fill. No pain at all. I had received Rabies injections in my stomach as a teen and they were lots and lots worse. I highly recommend the Fill Center USA Physician in Huntersville, NC. It was a pleasant experience, and the Physician and nurse were laid back and it was so comfortable to be there. :w00t:
