  1. Are you getting excited? I am almost finished with preop, I started this morning, in a little while I will be going back to my regular GP, I'm excited, apprehensive, and nervous! I had to do an EKG, spirmometer, blood and will get checked out by my doctor. Only 4 days!!
  2. Hi Cindy! Thanks for the note! For some reason I do not have to go on the pre-op diet. I don't have to do anything except fast the night before, but I am trying to do all liquids this week to get myself mentally prepared. I do know that if I cheat once I'll continue to cheat. Sugar / carbs has always been my go to for stress ? I pray I lose 80-100lbs ? I live in Gonzales, between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, were neighbors! Since we are having surgery the same day we have got to keep in touch. We got this! ??
  3. I will be having surgery 2/21 (week from Tuesday) and I am 55. Would welcome a buddy as well!
  4. Great! I haven't started commenting or really setting up my profile yet, just been prowling around. A lot of good info.
  5. Feb. 22! One week and 1 day!
  6. My insurance company will not cover removal unless the band is damaged or is causing major complications. The reason for waiting (according to my doctor) is so that you will be completely healed from the band. Also, the success is much better if you wait. (so I've heard and been told). I go next week to get my band removed, it's been in since 2003, I'm so ready for it to be out, it never worked. I then have to wait 3 - 6 months for the sleeve. Best of Luck!
