    Bad mood

I went through a depression stage but it was in the first 2 weeks. The first week was more of "What the hell have I done?". My depression has gotten much better since moving to pureed. I also have no restriction and have felt like the weight is not going anywhere. I keep loosing and gaining 3 lbs. It is discouraging but I honestly feel like I can eat anything, almost as much as before surgery. Let me know how your fill goes...I believe you are getting it today.

That's funny cz.99. That never crossed my mind about having to pee during surgery. I've had 2 kids so I guess it just doesn't even phase me...lol Glad your surgery went well. That first week on liquids I remember thinking "What have I done?" but that feeling has went away now and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me.

That's a little discouraging...I was hoping to be able to tell some difference after the first fill. I guess I will have to be patient!!! Yes, it is band hell. I can't eat as much as I use to but still want more than the 2-4 ozs my doctor suggested.

@bayougirlmrsc Not pushy at all! I appreciate all of the advise and will definitely consider it all. I had my husband take pictures of me the day of my surgery at the hospital. I will hopefully remember to take them monthly. I am already obsessed with the scales. I weigh daily...sometimes more than once. I know I am going to drive myself insane! I have no fill in my band now and can't wait for my first fill to see how much of a difference it makes. I see we were close in weight and I am also in an 18 but they are very loose on me now. Can't wait to buy new clothes but I know I don't need to go crazy as I hope to keep on loosing. How many cc's do you have in your band? and how much do you get with each fill? I forgot to ask my doctor how much he puts in on each fill.

@Rusti Jacobs...my doctor doesn't do a fill until 6 weeks after surgery so I don't get mine until Dec 13th. You'll have to let me know how it goes.

    Still hanging in there.

You look awesome. I just had my surgery on Oct 31st. That first week was really rough...I went through being depressed and wondered if I had made the right decision. Physically I have done really well after the surgery. I know this is going to be a long and tough journey. I have lost 21 pounds so far which gives me encouragement. I can only hope that I hang in there as long as you have!

Hi Rusti! I was banded on Oct 31st and have also lost 21 lbs (including pre op diet)! I don't get to do pureed food until my third week which is coming up next Monday and I can't wait! I have not been seeing a lot of new banders so I was glad to see your post.

    belching

I am having the same issue. I had my surgery on Oct 31st and I still have constant gas pains. I'm wondering if this is ever going away!
  11. Thanks everyone! I finally started loosing which makes me feel a little better but I am really struggling with the clear liquid diet. I feel like I am starving and feel so weak. I am on day 7 and trying to hang in there. I have a doctors appt on Tuesday and hope to go to full liquids.
