I am so happy today I was sleeved this time last year on this day at 387 pounds and felt like I was headed to my death bed if I didn't make some changes. This is by far the best decision I have ever made for myself. I hit onederland (199) today as well and have surpassed all of my surgeons expectations. That is a total weight loss of 188 pounds and from a size 32 to a 14 in 1 year never thought I would see the scale for myself under 200 again. I feel great I exercise everyday and I am not dying of starvation! LOL! The best part is I think for the 1st time in my adult life I am truly happy and not just hiding behind a smile.

I work and take classes at a university and many people either know me or have seen me.
I was getting some yogurt because I forgot to eat before class and one of the guys who work in the cafeteria just stared at me and was like "wow wow wow, I'm single!" Haha and when he rang me up he said "I'm going to make this last as long as I can, I'm speechless" and he gave me my bills one at a time all the people who worked in the cafeteria were telling me how fabulous I looked
Then I was in the elevator going back up to the classroom and one of the guys who works here ran to the elevator because the doors were still open and he just kinda kept looking at me and he said "are you the same girl that used to work over at the information center?" And I was like yeah and he was like "you've slimmed down, you look great! Doing an amazing job!" He even got out of the elevator even though he was going to a different floor to watch me walk away Hahahaha I've never even met him before
This has really been made me feel so good and is such a confidence booster!
I haven't had guys flirt with me in a very very long time haha and I'm 29 (30 on Saturday!!) and am very single haha it feels really nice
    It made my day!

Hi I was recently diagnosed with sever sleep apnea which one of the reasons I decided to have WLS sleeve done on 28 Oct. I took machine in with me and was kept on ICU over night as precaution put me on my CPAP after op once I fell asleep. What I will say is I have stopped using it for a couple of weeks as I felt the wind pain I was having was being made worse by the CPAP so not been on it for 2 weeks and feel fine. Will go back on it soon but hope once my weight comes off I won't need it.

Okay- mine is definitely stolen from Trader Joes, but it is OH SO GOOD!!!
Using their ready to eat lentils, crumbled feta ( I often used crumbled goat cheese too!!!!), their bruschetta and chopped arugula, I mix it together by eye--- no measuring needed.
Depending on my "mood", I'll add more or less of the bruschetta or cheese, and sometimes I will use basil instead of arugula.
For a party everyone loves it, especially if served with pita or tortilla chips. But it is Bari-friendly without the carby chips- and I often make a meal out of it.
The other thing is I often warm up my portion instead of eating it cold or room temp. And you can make as large or as small a batch as you want!!!

I am 2 weeks post op and went out for a family meal tonight to a curry house. I just ordered a small bowl of Soup. I just had a few spoonfuls but that was fine. We have to learn to enjoy the evening with our family and friends and not focus on the food. Xx

    Hi Everyone,
I'm a male sleever that has relapsed back into bad habits. I did my surgery back in May 2012. I initially had my starting weight at 122 kg (268 lbs). I successfully dropped the weight down to 75 kg (165 lbs) during the first 18 months. For my first two years, I always logged my meals on MyFitnessPal and worked out 4-5x a week. Was averting 1300-1600 calories daily for maintenance.
Unfortunately, has a series of personal life events that completely overwhelmed me in 2014. Lots of depression and stress in my life, so all the bad habits crept back in. I got up to 100 kg (220 lbs) last month and I was horrified!
Decided to do something happen and regain the willpower to restart my former positivity life. It's amazing what a negative mindset can do wreck havoc! Anyways, after researching these forums for fellow regainers, I decided to follow the pouch reset diet ( http://www.obesitycoverage.com/the-pouch-reset-losing-weight-after-weight-regain/) to jump start my path to getting back to losing weight.
It's seriously more challenging than the 5 day pouch reset since it's 10 days! I'm currently at the end of Day 5. Wow! Being on a liquid diet is really tough! It was so much easier to drink liquids immediately post-surgery than today! I'm shrinking the 10 days to 8 days (shorting the last two stages).
For Days 1-3, I hovered around a calorie intake between 500-700 calories, Protein around 70g, and carbs almost nonexistent (<25 grams).
Days 4-5, I got up to 1000 calories daily, 70 grams, and tried to keep carbs under 85 grams.
Key aspects that helped me through the 5 days:
    - try to exercise if you can. I did daily cardio of 150-200 calories burn.
    - drink lots and lots of Water.
    - log everything on an app.
    - I still get hungry between meals (and I have to remind myself that this is head hunger and not real hunger).
    - BE POSITIVE AND HAVE THE RIGHT MINDSET FOR CHANGE!
I'm weighed myself and I'm down 2.5 kgs (5.5 lbs). I assume that some of this is Water loss. I'm seriously looking forward to tomorrow when I can start having soft Protein (Hooray!).
Hope this post helps some of the regainers out there. It does happen, but we need to get back on track!

Super low carb is the only diet that ever effectively helped me lose weight preop. Less than 20g of carb per day, no more than 75g of Protein and as much fat as I wanted. I lost 100lbs and got down to mymgoal weight following that. I started adding carbs back into my diet, believing I was metabolically healthy because I was at goal weight. First beer, then bread and before i knew it I had gained 50lbs back. Then I started visiting an old friend and partying at least one night a week. Getting hammered and ordering takeout, plus she basicallly lives on carbs and so eating junk food the whole time. Doing low carb 6 days a week and splurging one day a week helped me pack on the other 50 lbs.
Now, 3 weeks post op and I am just starting to reintroduce real foods. I will be avoiding rice, potatoes, breads and beer probably for the rest of my life.
Low carb veggies like broccoli, spinach, cauliflower and full fat cuts of meat are my plan. So far I am down 30 lbs in 27 days.

I am only 2lbs away from being the lightest I have been since I was 20 (16 years ago)....I have been at this point many times before, but always began to self-sabotage and regained all I had lost and then some. I have no idea what my mental barrier was with the 15 stone mark, but self-sabotage is a non-option this time.
It's a really scary thought entering into this unchartered territory...I have no clue what I will look like and it just seems so abstract that I am having bother processing it just now.
I knew this was coming, but didn't realise quite how big an abyss the number 14 at the beginning of my weight feels.
    Anyone experienced similar?
Pats on the head and being told it will all be okay will also be greatly appreciated!

I'm 3 weeks post op and on puréed foods now. I keep saying each day is better than the day before. Hardest for me is my energy level. But down 21 pounds so far and that keeps me motivated.
