I have BCBS Ri and it took me 3 months of testing and nut visits. Once I did that approval was done in 15 mins.

So here's my issue. I had surgery on 10/24 my weight at surgery was 259 lbs. I have gone thru stricture issues and multiple hospital stays. Now I'm coming up on my 6 month check in and weigh 213. At one point I got down to 208 lbs but since then no movement down just up. I go to the gym most days and try to eat right with the little I do eat. Especially since I still get sick most of the time and have started to experience dumping almost weekly. My drs appt in on the 25th and I'm going into this as a total failure. I'm doing a reset as of tomorrow hoping it helps but at this point I'm just so disappointed in myself and discouraged. I weigh myself 3-4 times a day which is also bad. I just want to get to my GW of 175 but I feel like I will never get there. What am I doing to myself. So depressed.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is having this struggle. I'm going to start a pouch restart next week. I have been so stressed out about it myself and have even felt like a failure but this week I have started to feel better and trying to get myself back on track

Ugh I'm really freaking out now. I have been at a stall for 4 weeks and I gain 4 lbs. I'm getting to the point that food is an enemy and I don't want it. I hit the gym everyday and when I weigh myself I breakdown in tears. I see my Nut tomorrow and I'm sure she is going to be pissed at me. I have literally tracked everything I put in my mouth. Along with the food I end up throwing up. This is scaring me now. How can I gain 5 lbs. I don't ever want to go back to being as big as I have been. My friends who have had this surgery have had great results. What am I doing wrong.

I'm having a hard time understanding what's happening. So I had my surgery on 10/24. After surgery I rapidly lost 40 lbs but developed a horrible stricture that caused me 2 hospital stays and stretching. The last stricture correction was on 12/30 in which I gained 8 lbs due to fluids and meds. After 3 weeks I was able to lose 10 lbs but am now stuck at 208 lbs. I am now able to eat and keep some foods down and even started the gym but have not seen any weight lose in the last 3 weeks. I'm starting to freak out and not wanting food as I'm scared I'm gaining all my weight back. What am I doing wrong. I track everything on my fitness pal. Am barely getting 40-50 grams of Protein and less than 700 calories. I can't due Protein shakes and my dr is aware.I just had my 3 month follow up and my dr said I'm ahead in my weight lose but no movement in 3 weeks. What am I doing wrong? Hi everyone. I had my RNY on 10/24 and immediately I lost 40 lbs. I went from 259 to 215 lbs in a few weeks. Which was great but then I developed a stricture that cause me to not be able to even hold down Water. I was down to 205. After 1 week hospital stay I gained 13 lbs and have only lost 4 lbs since. I'm stuck at 214 and have. It lost any weight in the last 2 weeks. I thought it kicked back on Tuesday cause the scales said 210 but by the following day I was back to 214. I'm so frustrated. You will feel so much better afterwards. Take it slow with eating. liquids at first but things will get better. I had a horrible stricture for 3 weeks. I almost died and was in the hospital for 2 weeks. I had my dilation last Thursday and it is total night and day. I feel 100000% better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you guys an update. After all that I ended up in the hospital for a week. My blood was pretty much acid and everything was shutting down. Ended up getting round the clock infusions and meds from Saturday morning till yesterday. They did stretch my stricture on Thursday as scheduled and now I'm finally home. I still don't feel at 100% but I'm getting fluids down with no issues and the dr gave me anti nauseous meds. I will probably need a second dilation in a few weeks. Thanks for all the prayers. I have a really tight stricture that will need to be dilated which will happen on Thursday. I also start Fluid infusions on Monday. Cat Scan showed everything else is ok no leaks or anything. I'm home now resting. Just really tired. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Thanks guys. I had an RNY. I see the other surgeon tomorrow at 10. I did tell her PA and she said it def a stricture and tomorrow the dr should give me a plan and schedule to correct it. I feel horrible and just trying to make it thru the days. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So I been suffering for the last few weeks. I believe I have a stricture but my dr does not deal with them so I was referred to her partner. I was suppose to see him on Tuesday but after sitting in the office for 2 hrs my husband was called to work and I had to reschedule for tomorrow. In the mean time I'm surviving on Water and water alone. Last night I had a bad episode of heartburn so I toke my omeprazole and just laid in bed till I passed out at 3 am. Well around 5 this morning I woke up choking and vomited all over myself and my bed. I was home alone as my husband works third shift. I had a major break down. I ended up having to strip my bed and wash sheets at that time. After that I went into the shower and cried for 30 mins. I don't know how much more I can take of this. I spent all day today sick and dry heaving. I could barely cook my catering orders ( yes I cook for friends as a side business) and just want to sleep all day. Also my heartburn is back and I just want to dig a hole a disappear. I have lost 60 lbs but at what cost? I'm getting so depressed and just really don't know how much I can take. I have one now and it is god awful. I go tomorrow for the endoscopy. I been struggling for 2 weeks with it and cry everyday. Even Water is horrible. I can't wait for tomorrow to start feeling normal again. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
