I guess losing weight wasn't too important for you when you were told too, huh? You just had to keep on eating until you were so fat you needed surgery. If only you listened. Tsk tsk.

How could you, in good conscience, say that to someone? Because that's exactly what you said. I have no idea what you're doing in an addiction forum if you are more interested in shaming than support.

Hi there - just checking in with a quick update. It's been a hectic month. My husband left January 28th to work in Saudi Arabia for a bit, so I have been on the go!
I ended up taking a total of six weeks off work and it was the best decision ever. I am 12 weeks post-op now and about 95% back to normal. At my last appointment, which was at nine weeks I was released to resume light exercise, 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the elliptical.
As you know, I had some really SLOW healing groin incisions. As you will see from todays pictures, I am down to about a one inch spot that I think will be fully healed in the next week or so.
At this point, my Tummy Tuck was 100% work it, I would have paid a million bucks for it. I have mixed emotions about my thigh lift. I am glad my inner thighs no longer sag, but I chose the full incision (almost down to my knees), in hopes that my entire upper leg would have been tighter. I am going to talk to the doctor about a revision at my next appointment in April. Based on how long my groin incisions took to heal, I would never have those redone. The scars are going to be thick, but the placement could not have been much better.

Glad to see everyone doing well!

Things have slowed down yet again, but the weight is still coming off. Weighed in at 264 this morning. My first big goal is to get down to 250. I haven't weighed that since I was probably in middle school, so we're talking damn near 30 years ago. Haven't been able to get to the gym much lately but still getting my walking in. Hoping that once I get back to the weights it'll help things get going again.

Keep up the great work everyone!

At your stage, all I concerned myself with was meeting my protein goal and my Water goal. IME, if you get the protein where your program wants it, the rest will follow in the first 6-9 months.

I'm a big dairy consumer, plain greek yogurt is a must in my diet. Before I was able to consume slightly larger amounts, I always mixed unflavored protein powder into my foods....into the yogurt, into refried Beans (another lifesaver in the first 6 months for me), and I still put a scoop in my coffee every morning. I made the ricotta bake from Eggface's website and added protein powder after I cooked it.
I try to eat pretty clean, don't use Protein Shakes or bars any longer...beef Jerky is the one over-processed food I still eat. It really satisfies me, and it travels well in my purse/car.
If you can eat meats already and tolerate them well, tuna is great...those pouches are so easy to rip open, squirt a bit of mayo or a spoon of plain yogurt in and you've got lunch or dinner. I also eat salmon or steelhead at least once a week and another fish once a week, usually cod or whatever is fresh at the fish market. Pork and beef are hard for me, even at 10 months, but chicken sits pretty well. Grilled chicken thigh with ras el hanout seasoning is my new obsession, with some kale or chard alongside.

    @Jodygirl1982 You are doing awesome!
I was sleeved 12/12/16. I have hit my big stall too.. I have been bouncing between the same 1-3 pounds for the last few weeks and it is sooooo frustrating. I know its part of the process its just hard when the scale just stops moving.... makes me scared I might stop losing anymore even though I know that is just my mind messing with me.
I am only down about 43 pounds since the day of surgery, but down 63 total since I started the pre-op diet 2 weeks before. Just taking it a day at a time and trying to up my Water intake and my exercise!

I have been so busy with life I have just forgotten about all you great guys! On April 10th I was 19 months post op. My current weight is 135 and I feel absolutely great can say that I have not spent one single second regretting my decision to have the sleeve and would do it all over again if I had to.

I haven't seen this girl in so long it amazes me still that with this tool I have been successful with it unlike every other weight loss diet and trend I had used since the age of 15. This picture on the left was me two days ago and the picture on the right was about two years ago. I use to play roller derby and with my size back then I had a hard time just skating in a circle. I feel amazing now and can't wait to try skating again. I couldn't imagine being where I am now if I didn't have gastric bypass. This tool works and I'm so happy I did this to better my life. Yes I do have these cheat days and I tend to slip a little bit I find myself acknowledging it and getting back on track. This definitely is a life changer and it's a slow process to change but I am doing it and I know better now then I did when I was 350 pounds.

Just a little motivation for those of you just starting. If I can do it anyone can. It takes work, everyday good choices, but the sleeve helps!!!
I love that even when I mentally crave something outside my normal eating routine, the smallest portion fills me up and I'm satisfied.
A few pics. First before and after VSG. Second before and after 360 LBL. Still amazes me how can that be me!!!!!! But it is.
Best wishes to those starting your journey. You can do it!!!!
