  1. Two pounds from goal?!?! Wow!! Congratulations!!! I don't even have a goal yet in mind.
  2. I do have PCOS. The hormone doctor that I have been working with has helped make a lot of difference in my energy levels. I have recently been at a stall but hopefully it will break soon. Some days I can get up to 1200 calories but most days I am at 800-1000 same as you and about the same protein in take. I really need to focus on water consumption and my exercise consistency. I work many many many hours and barely have time for anything else but I might try some at home workouts just to get a routine started. Something is better than nothing right? Are you noticing loose skin since your weight loss?
  3. 3 week stall [emoji818]️ 3 month stall [emoji818]️ I am at about 5.5 months and haven't lost anything in two weeks. Has anyone gone through this around this time? If so how long did it last and any recommendations to get through it.
  4. I struggled with a lot of these issues ever since surgery and the best thing I did was find a hormone doctor and started getting hormone injections. After my first injection I felt like a new person. Might not be a bad idea to get your hormone levels checked. I am so thankful I did.
  5. Sometimes it depends on how much you have to lose. Does this help?
  6. You're right. Have been a bit stagnant for the past few days. Might be time to try some miralax again. I have used it here and there since the surgery.
  7. This week has been a struggle. The last two days I have gained 2.5 lbs and I don't know why. I have kept my calories below 1,000 and have been getting my protein in etc etc. has this happened to anyone? I mean my weight sometimes fluctuates a pound here and there but never consistently going up. Hopefully this is just temporary. I decided I am going to go protein shakes only today and tomorrow to see if that will help push my body into the right direction. Just frustrated.
  8. Hi. Sleeved on 10/28. Down 60 lbs as of today. My stomach can tolerate everything. Nothing really bothers it and some days can eat quite a bit. Which makes me nervous for the future. I am just trying hard lately to be more focused on what I am eating and stick with protein as much as possible. I did recently discover that my hormones are completely unbalanced and have caused extreme fatigue. Just started taking hormone replacement injections and already feeling much better. I am only 5.5 lbs until I am finally out of the 200s. Which is a huge milestone in this journey. I hear that the first 50-60 lbs are easier to lose and everything else is much harder after that. I am really hoping I can continue this losing trend. I don't really have an amount set for my goal. But 100 pounds would be the best goal right now. That would put me at 166 lbs at 5'5" Congratulations to all of us for taking control of our health and all the changes we have made. You all look amazing.
  9. Shana Lee- did you just describe me?!?! I could have written all of this as me! We had the same starting weight and are at the same weight now! My surgery was on 10/28. Amen to the cookies just sliding down over Christmas. I found those weren't a problem at all. And for sure my sweet tooth is in full effect. I think I am in another stall . So I am thinking of trying the pouch reset next week to see if it helps with my sweet tooth and stall. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Time off from work

I took a week off. My surgery was on Friday and then I returned the following Monday. I was scheduled to go back a few days before that but I wasn't ready. My recommendation is to take as much time as you can. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    PCOS success stories?

I had surgery on 10/28 and have lost about 30 lbs since the surgery. I feel like I am losing slower than others due to my PCOS and my doctor said it can cause slower results. However I would have never been able to lose 30 lbs in the past let along in two months. I am thankful to be feeling better and getting healthier even if it's at a slower rate. Good luck to you! 12. I was just curious if anyone has been referred to a functional medical specialist/doctor. My nutritionist suggested I go to get a check on my adrenal responses and overall hormone balances. Its quite expensive (insurance typically doesn't pay for it) and a lengthy process. I was just wondering if anyone has gone to one and what your experience with them as been.
  13. So annoyed with this stall I am in. Almost three weeks and nothing. I have been losing slowly prior to the stall but as long as I was losing. Now..... nada. I have tried increasing calories. Decreasing calories. More activity. Less activity. Just frustrated...... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I really like GENEPRO. It has really helped me get my Protein in and dissolves is most things from flavored waters to yogurt. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Fears

I am curious @@NewAdventure2016 how are things now? Or any of you that were unsure. I also have PCOS and am almost 6 weeks post-op. I have my moments of frustration that I am not losing like everyone else. But am focusing on my own journey. One day I look the same way on the outside that I feel on the inside. Hope everyone is happy with their progress and their hard work thus far.
  17. May I ask exactly which app you used? There a few out there and was wondering which worked for you. I too am working on slowly eating. It's tricky when you are use to eating quickly. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Our program allows us to have regular coffee as long as we are getting our Protein and liquids in. Starting the second day after surgery. But I have noticed that my coffee cravings have decreased dramatically since then. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I am just wondering how your relationships were effected after getting the sleeve surgery with your significant other. I am almost 5 weeks post op and have been with my boyfriend for 7 months. He has been super supportive through this entire process and extremely understanding. But I am afraid that all the changes will eventually take a toll on our relationship. I was just wondering what other have experienced through their journey. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Yup! My stomach is fine on them as long as I have some thing in my stomach. A bit of Protein or a bite of something. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Las vegas area

Blossom Bariatrics! They are amazing. Dr Apel did my surgery and their insurance support staff are amazing. From my initial appointment to my surgery date was 4.5 weeks. I am so thankful I found them. I originally went to Dr. Hanna and switched. Best decision I could have made. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. It might be too soon for you to be eating. What does your program say? I would go back to liquids for a day or so and see if you still need more time to heal before introducing foods into your stomach.

Ladies only - IUD or Implant?

Oh wow, what's reverse endo? I hope they figure something out for you soon! It's endometriosis that has spread to different portions of your body. Mine is in my bowels. Most doctors had just said it was IBS but none of the treatments helped me. After 20 years of test and test and doctors. I moved and went to a new OBGYN and we just randomly started talking and sure enough she knew what it was. It was so such a relief to finally have a doctor listen to me and give me answers.
