  1. Im not sure about your personal insurance. Ive seen some in a day and some take a month. My paperwork got submitted to insurance today, so im just as anxious as you are. The secretary told me about 2 or 3 weeks.
  2. Dont be discouraged with your success. Youve lost 10 lbs a month for 4 momths...thats amazing. Remember there are many things that are taken into factor. I hopw when i get sleeved in the next month, ill be able to say ive lost 40 lbs in 4 months. My surgeon only expects me to lose 60 lbs in a year so if i did that, id be more than halfway to his goal with 8 months left to really kill it Keep up the great work!
  3. Wow!!!! You look amazing and have done such a great job, keep it up.
  4. Congrats!!! I hope I will be also. My paperwork was submitted to insurance today. They said it should be about 2 weeks. Surgeon said he would be able to fit me in at the end of the month if we get it back soon, if not the beginning of April it will be for me also. How excited are you? Im so excited and anxious waiting on ins. approval. How long did your insurance take to send back the approval?
  5. Just checking in to see how you are feeling now a few weeks out from surgery? Im still waiting for my date, but should be the end of this month. Would love to know the progress youre making.
  6. That seems a bad excuse for a denial. Well its on to appealing it now. Dont give up, you've come too far.
  7. I use Flintstones chewables and theyre not that bad.
  8. You look so great, keep it up!!
  9. It varies, but mine was also submitted today. The secretary at my suegeons office said it all depends on the insurance. She told me my ins. co. takes about 2-3 weeks...I hope they respond sooner and she only said that so ahe doesnt have people calling all the time, lol.
  10. My mil had a surgery for something else and her doc gave her a tt at the same time, since insurance covered it, she also lost her belly button. She just says its one less crevice to keep clean, lol. And it really doesnt look too odd. Congrats on your amazing results and keep it up!! Its a hard choice, but just think if you did it now it may help with your activity level as it would definitely make it easier to move around. There are always savings or financing options later on for the next one. Start saving now and within maybe 2 years when youll be ready for a 2nd one, youll have a good chunk saved up.
  11. Did you have a sleeve revision at the same time?
  12. Good Luck tomorrow, keep us posted, and prayers for a speedy and painless recovery. Hopefully, ill be joining you soon.
  13. It would depend on your insurance. Mine required 6 months of visits.
  14. Good Luck!!! Tomorrow is my last of my 6 months appts so hopefully ill be aporoved with a date real soon
  15. I go for my final of my 6 months of appts on Monday. Anxiously awaiting to see how long it will take to get it sent to insurance and approved.
  16. Many surgeons are also checkimg to make sure you are not smoking.
  17. Premier Protein, jello, broth, popsicles
  18. I feel the same way, had lost yhw weight i needed to them quit smoking for the new year. Now i have about 5 lbs. to lose before my 6th visit on 3/6. I was also thinking of trying the pre op diet most people use to shrink yheir liver for a week. My surgeon does not have a pre op diet just one day pf cleat liquids before surgery but many people have posted theirs. Just worried if i dont lose it he wont submit to insurance and will make me come back in another month
  19. Sally, I'm also from the boston area. Who is your surgeon? Im going for my 6th appt. on 3/6 so hoepfully will have a date in March or April.
  20. Happy Birthday!!!! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  21. My surgeon requires i lose a certain amount of weight before surgery. i was only 2 lbs away from his goal, quit smoking and now have to lose 8 lbs within 4 weeks. Doesnt seem like a lot but its very hard for me to lose. Im thinking of trying a liquid diet for the week before i go see him so ill definitely lose it. My surgeon willl not schedule if I dont lose these last few lbs. So frustrating! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  22. I tried Chantix and i was fine at first, but when i took the full dose i got super nauseous. I also would take it before eating anything, so that probably had something to do with it. So just have been using my vape with 0 nicotine. Yeah, it sucks!!!! Smoking was the 1 thing i enjoyed doing, it was my vice. Its just mind over matter. I quit January 1st, but had a few slip ups in the cirst couple weeks, but am now 2 weeks smoke free. Ive noticed im not even using my vape as much cuz it just doesnt give the same kick as the nicotine does. I dont have a date yet, but go for my last of 6 appts on March 6th. My surgeon requires 2 months before surgery to be smoke free. I honestly just want the surgery more than the cigarettes at this point. I think about smoking every day and every day is a challenge not to smoke, but im doing it and you can too!! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App Also, Ive smoked a pack a day for about 25 years Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
