  1. Are you weighing/measuring your foods at all? My doc told me I should be under 1000cal.. I also log my food on my S. Health app on my phone Munky
  2. I had to have bypass because of GERD.. Barrett Esophagus, & H. Pylori .. On top of that it ended up being open because of a past hernia repair with mesh.. Munky

    Already sleeved question

I use to be one of those people that thought that.. After doing alot of reading about the procedures then jumping through all the hoops(all the testing) from April till my actual surgery date of November 22nd then having to be opened up instead of laproscopic.. Developing an infection 2 weeks after surgery ending up back in the hospital for 4 days and having to learn a whole new way of eating n weighing foods n still having to be strong and not have Sweets and/or starches(my weakness) making sure you get enough Protein.. Enough Water.. Take your Vitamins 5 times a day on top of the antibiotics you have to be on for 5 months because of that infection.. Yeah.. Sooo not the easy way out :-/ Munky

    Sisterly sabotage

Sounds like for some reason (jealousy?) your sister wants to sabotage you.. I agree with everything @@Travelher said.. If you don't have the willpower to resist you might as well cancel the surgery because it will do you no good until you ready to be strong and make changes Munky

Why does it hurt going doing?

Well for one thing we can't take big bites and big drinks like we use to.. Have to take sips rather than gulps Munky

    For the 45+ crowd

It's because fat keeps those wrinkles filled out.. I noticed the aged thing when my younger sister had bypass 10 or so years ago.. She looks older than I do.. That won't last I guess since I finally had the bypass 2 months ago Munky

    3 days post op

I'm not sure I'm a good example for you since I had to be opened up.. I don't even remember the first day and I was pretty drugged up.. The bed was super uncomfy for me I almost slept better in the recliner.. I didn't have issues with the gas pain since I was opened up and I had issues with lots of pain in back n hips before surgery so.. I know things got better each day for me.. Good luck! Munky

    very disappointed

Uhmm.. I did it.. I had to quit and be off for 2 months before they would let me begin any of the process I left his office January 28th after finding that out n quit February 4th cold turkey.. Finally had my surgery this past November.. Munky

Did my surgery on Dec 28 2016

I had my surgery the 22nd of November was in 4 days.. About 2 weeks later I developed an infection and ended up back in the hospital for 4 more days.. Got released with a wound vac.. Had that removed a couple weeks ago and now just "packing" 2 wounds forcing them to heal from the inside out and am on antibiotics for 5 more months Munky

    Weight gaining after sleeve?

Surgery is a tool not a guarantee if people go back to eating the way they were before.. Fast food.. Useless carbs/calories .. Sugary drinks etc etc they can definitely gain the weight back.. Thats why we have to change our minds, the way we look at food.. For this to work over the long haul.. Food is fuel not a reward or for depression or whatever Munky

    Spooked

Maybe they aren't eating the way they are suppose to be and that's why they're getting sick.. Munky

    JiuJitsu Feet

Ouch.. My job requires steel toed boots/shoes n depending on the department metatarsal shields.. Why did you not have them on? A guy at work broke his foot when he dropped a bar of steel off a shelf onto his foot :-/ and h had steel toes on Munky

    45...preop, would you wait?

I WOULD wait.. But the reason I say that is because IF God forbid you have any complications like I did you'd end up not being able to go on your cruise.. Just a thought.. I had my surgery the 22nd of November.. Ended up having to be opened up.. The 2 weeks after being released from the hospital ended up back in with infection.. Got released 4 days latet with a wound vac.. Thats finally off but I still have 2 wounds that have to be packed every day and new dressings.. Anyways.. Wish you the best whichever you chose! Munky

I wanna know about carbs... Seriously!

Below 25-50 grams of carbs a day and high Proteins will put your body into Ketosis and force your body to burn fat for fuel since it doesn't have carbs to burn Munky
  22. Awesome! Congrats on the great work ???? Munky

    Scared of not feeling full

I think what it is is its a whole different feeling than what it use to be like to be full and it takes time to learn it.. But you're not going to be able to way over eat because your belly just isn't going to let you.. I mean if you do it on a regular basis I suppose eventually it could happen.. Munky
