Not loosing weight and I am only 6-7 mos. out
What are you eating? And how much are you eating? Like what does a sample day look like for you? As far as working out goes maybe extend the length of your workouts and switch them up, find a new way to workout that you might like.

Oh No I'm Really Hungry
I think you should consult your dr and nutrition team. Nothing like that even remotely happened to me. I've never heard of anyone gaining right after surgery either. Maybe they can provide more insight. Good luck to you though.

Grazing and how to end it?!
Everyone is different. But i know for me i don't believe in the 6 meals per day thing. I think if you already know snacking is your struggle, find a different way to structure your meals so you aren't snacking. It will help prevent re-gaining later on down the road. Try portioning everything out for the whole day and take it with you, so you know that's all you can have. Anytime you think of food, sip some water to help you get all your fluids in. I hope that helps. It helped me.

3 meals or 6? How much do you y'all eat? (Post- op vets)
@nyseness i agree with you. My dr said 3 meals no snacking. That's what i've been doing and it works for me. I could never do 6 mini meals, it's just to much for me. I was reading a couple of web md studies and they said people who do 6 meals are more likely to re-gain because they're used to always eating or over eating.

3 meals or 6? How much do you y'all eat? (Post- op vets)
My dr and dietician say i should eat 3 meals per day. But all my sleeve friends have told me they eat 6 mini meals/ snacks per day. Which one do you do? And why does that work better for you?

Water
Everyone is different. For me if i drink anything right after or during eating, it gets stuck and just sits there and it's uncomfortable so i avoid it and just wait 30 minutes in between.

Saying.... Thanks
@libertylady49 congrats to you on taking charge of your life. Welcome! You'll do great on your journey and you will be so amazed at how much progress you make. There will be hard days, but just push through it. Remember once you have surgery. Focus mostly on getting in your recommended amount of fluids in and lean protein. Best of luck to you.

Omg my fat friends are worse than my skinny bitch friends...wtf
@outsidematchinside i agree with you on that. I have several friends that don't understand what a normal portion is so they think they're being healthy but they still eat way to much.

Omg my fat friends are worse than my skinny bitch friends...wtf
@teacupsaucer that was literally some of the best advice ever. Thank you for that. I started doing boxing class which was fun so who knows i might make new friends there.

Omg my fat friends are worse than my skinny bitch friends...wtf
I never thought of it as jealousy. I honestly just thought they were lovable clueless idiots. They are somewhat supportive. They just haven't figured out that in order for this to work i have to make life long changes. I can't pig out with them anymore.

Omg my fat friends are worse than my skinny bitch friends...wtf
I'm just venting. Lately all of my heavy friends that know i've had my sleeve are irritating the living **** out of me. They all know i'm working really hard on losing weight. They all know i'm not big on eating out anymore because it's a complete waste of my time and money. But yet all they want to do is ask me to go out to eat more unhealthy **** with them. I realize that they don't get it. But it's beyond annoying. I wish they would understand that i don't need to do that anymore. Side note: one of my other friends sees me with my shakes now so she started to do them too. She hasn't quite figured out that it's not going to work for her if she just eats junk food for the rest of the day and doesn't exercise. Sorry for being so bitchy. Can anyone relate??

Craving spaghetti
@newme17 if you're kids love pasta and you're not going to eat it try pasta made from beans. They sell it at whole foods. Low calorie and low carb and it taste more realistic instead of gluten free rice noodle pasta.

Craving spaghetti
@mbuczkowski ooo i've been dying to try miracle noodles. How do they taste? Does it actually taste like pasta? Have you ever tried shirataki? I think it's made from mushrooms. I just need to find something tasty.

Craving spaghetti

Sleeve or Bypass?
So trust your gut and do whatever makes you most comfortable. Research makes it seem like bypass patients lose more, but that's far from the truth. My doctor told me straight up, that long term you will loose about the same amount of weight regardless. It also depends on you and how active you decide to be and how well you stick to your diet. Bypass is definitely more complicated of a procedure so recovery time is a tiny bit longer. Also because bypass re-routes your intestines you have to be good with taking your supplements every day and avoid high fat and high sugar foods to avoid dumping syndrome. For that reason i chose the sleeve. I got sleeved in december. It's the best thing i've ever done for me. And the idea of losing 60-80 pounds with the sleeve is complete bullshit. Depending on where you start, you can lose as much as you want with it. I know plenty of people that lost well over 120 pounds with the sleeve and successfully kept it off. I haven't had any side effects or complications.

Craving spaghetti
Craving spaghetti really bad. What's a good pasta sub besides the obvious spaghetti squash??? I tried quest noodles--it doesn't taste like anything but the texture scared the living shit out of me. What do you guys use instead??

Hospital must-haves?
You don't need anything at all. Except a change of clothes and chapstick. Best of luck to you.

Ideas anyone: what's your favorite shake brand and flavor???
So i'm post op and super bored with the same old shakes. But i love using them for breakfast because i'm not big on eating first thing in the morning either. But it's time to switch it up. I love premier but if i have to look at it again, i think i'm going to lose my shit lol. So what are your favorite shakes and flavors??? (Preferably available in a ready to drink form too) Thank you all in advance.

Phentrimine vs contrave??
So before i had surgery i tried phentrimine and it helped a little. But i keep hearing about contrave. Never tried it. Has anyone tried both?? Or even one or the other. Did it help you? Did you have any side effects?

Liquid diet - weight loss.
I lost about 20 doing the pre-op. You definitely need to do it. It helps dramatically. And you'll have less surgery complications. I would suggest not stocking up on shakes though. Simply because most people's appetites change a lot. Mine definitely did. Good luck to you. See you on the loser's bench !!!

Post op ladies- what's your smallest dress size after reaching your goal weight?
@vinasu ok perfect so then for me it would be feesable to end up at a 4 or 2. I'm only 5'1 and at my heaviest i started out as a 14. How long did it take you to get to where you are now?
