It is. But really need to count at least calories because I am usually on the really low end and I have already been threatened with a feeding tube at least a couple times

700 is dangerously low!!!! Seriously...Up it to 1200 and you'll break your stall and feel healthier.

I have to say this post is so true! I am now just over a year out from being sleeved. I was threatened a couple times to have a feeding tube inserted due to only eating 100 to 300 calories a day at 6 months to 9 months out. I got better and didn't have to get the feeding tube. However, I still only get about 700 calories a day. My starting weight was 257lbs and I am now but 144lbs. I am currently in a stall but still working on it with my team. We are slowly getting there! Definitely want to listen to them!

High weight was 257 and now I am 147 as of today (surgery was 10/21/16). As far as food, Water and Protein intake go, I am not the best person to ask, I am still considered anorexic. I eat about 1 to 2 small meals a day. Just make sure you get what you need!

I get the whole dumping syndrome too. So I just don't have sugar at all. Or just a very low tiny amount. But I just get an upset stomach and sweats and stuff like that. I was sleeved 10/21/16. I hope this helps you somewhat. But don't just look for sugar. look for other sugar too. Sugar alcohols, sacrulose (spelling could be wrong), high fructose corn Syrup, and so on

I am 8 months and was only getting 100 to 300 calories a day. My PA almost put me on a feeding tube! You definitely need to increase your caloric intake. My NUT told me at least 900 to 1000 calories a day. It should help you. Try eating nuts throughout the day. That's what has helped me. I still can't eat very much. But the nuts definitely help up the calories.

Still working on getting caloric intake up. Some days are good and some days are bad like anyone else. I am getting anywhere from 400 calories a day to 1000 or so. But I am doing great so far with weight.

I eat chicken, shrimp, avocado, potatoes, salmon, asparagus, lean ground turkey, eggs, etc. I try to stay away from dairy due lactose intolerance. I am just still very restricted on the amount I can eat obviously. I have tried making myself eat when I am not hungry and feel very nauseous after. Even if it isn't much of anything. I am hoping the NUT can really help with some of this.

I am 6 months post op and supposed to be getting about 900 calories, however, I am not even coming close to it. I get anywhere from 270 to about 500 calories (If I am lucky). This even includes the calories from Vitamins and supplements. How is everyone hitting their calorie intake goals?

So you still aren't really answering the question, what do you eat each day to get your calories??

If you are actually eating food, there are ways to get calories and healthy fats and from food.

Eggs, turkey bacon, avocado, turkey pepperoni, cheese, yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, spinach, tuna, salmon, mahi mahi, chicken, cauliflower, Soups, Beans, nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) and cottage cheese are just to name a few. These are still easy on the tummy and even in super small amounts you should be able to tolerate or you have some issues that need to be addressed with the doctor ASAP.

People don't understand that if you just drink liquids over an extended period of time it will be exceptionally difficult to start eating solid food again. I'm 3 months out and can't eat a whole serving size either but I work on it all day long. In order to get my calories in some days I HAVE to eat when I'm not hungry. I can't even finish 5.3 oz of yogurt but I put the rest in the fridge and finish it later. You need to eat when your phone reminds you and you absolutely need the protein! Get the unflavored kind that you can mix with your foods if you can't drink it. If you starve yourself it will continue to be difficult to eat and symptoms like dumping will be exaggerated because your body isn't used to it. If you eat small amounts of foods throughout the day you can retrain your body to tolerate solids and fatty food more comfortably.

Good luck and I hope the NUT can help you find a plan that works.
