  6. I had surgery 10/3. I was never told that I had to crush pills, I've been taking them whole. Uh oh. I will ask my surgeon at my follow up appointment this Thursday. I am on the last week of the pureed foods. I get to start soft foods on Halloween...yay!! I am basically living off of Protein shakes, scrambled eggs and mashed potates. I cannot eat pureed meat for the life of me. Despite all the research I did prior, this process is harder than I thought it would be. Although it is getting easier and I am so happy I made this decision and that I am passed the surgey part. The pain at my large incision site barely went away a few days ago. Anyone back at the gym yet? How long before you returned or plan on returning?? Good luck to all!

  8. Me too! I thought I was the only one with this strange obsession. I wouldn't allow anyone to eat in my house during the liquids only stage but I sat there for hours watching food shows lol.
  9. The ricotta bake is delicious. I used this recipe: http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2007/08/pureed-foods.html I'm having a hard time eating pureed meat so I have been eating alot of mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and fat free refried Beans.

  11. I wouldn't risk it...especially so early on.
  12. Everyone I spoke with said two weeks but as usual I didn't listen and I took 3 weeks off. Today is my first day back and I am so happy I took that extra week. The large incision still hurt at week 3, I still had nausea and I was soooo tired.

  15. Torani sugar free syrups blended with instant coffee and topped with premier Protein is delicious. You can use any flavors of syrup and protein. I personally like the sugar free caramel torani syrup with the vanilla Premier Protein and ice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. Mine was very similar to yours. Had surgery on the 3rd, had to stay longer due to not keeping anything down but my Aunt Flo came a few days before! It was horrifying. We still made it to the other side though Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I was sleeved on October 3rd as well! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I was sleeved Monday October 3rd. I was also worried about the blood clots but was told just to stay moving, which I did. My Dr also sent me home with 10 days worth of lovenox, which I have to inject twice a day. I can't wait for that part to be over but I know it's for the best. Good luck with your surgery tomorrow, it will be over before you know it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
