My name is Carla Asmundson I'm a 47 year old mother of 2 and grandmother of 1. I have struggled with my weight ever since I had my first child which is now 26 years ago. You know how it is, when the kids are growing up you do everything possible for them and tend to neglect yourself. Well I guess you can say that's what I did. From driving all over for cheer competitions or football games we would always stop for fast food, gulp it down and do it all over again. I commute 148 miles  round trip to work everyday. Getting home around 7:30pm or later. We leave at 5:30 every morning so I just never found time to work out. The main reason I had the surgery was medical reason. I'm type 2 diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, irregular heart rate, fibromyalgia, need knee replacements on both knees. But to top it off I have bleeding behind both my eyes and have already suffered hemorrhaging behind both eyes but one so bad that I lost my vision in my right eye for almost 2 weeks. I have had several laser treatments and injections to stop the bleeding - so far so good. Although I haven't been back since the surgery. My son is getting married next year and I want to be around to see that happen and watch my grand-daughter grow up and hopefully see my daughter get married. 
 
I know probably a bit much information but that is who I am.
