  1. I am also preop and going through the necessary steps to get insurance approval. I know what you mean KRlongfellow, I also keep pondering the what ifs. Beating myself down becouse i was not able to keep the weight off in the past. However the other day I chacked my blood pressure and it was high as usual and i take two types of medications for it already. I know its my weight (270 and 5'6) so i am definitly going to do it for my health...and it is relatively safe and reversable so hang in there
  2. Hi everybody..im new to the site and io wanted to pose this question becosue its dawned on me that my friends/family opposition to the band is stemming from their comfort with my obesity. I think my older sister who is overweight but cant get baned for other health issues enjoys me being overweight becouse she doesnt feel judged and has someone to to go to lane bryant with My younger sister, is a dancer and thinks i need to simply go to the gym and diet but i have numerous health issues, im 5'6, 270 pounds and I need help. I know banding is dangerous and the natural way is best but i know i need help My friends like me being their plus sized sassy friend but the moment i mention i want to lose 100 pounds they have an issue. They are starting to make me doubt banding ...does anyone else have a complete lack of support and still got banded :confused2:
  3. Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone has/is experiancing this. I want to get banded, im 5'6 and 270. My BMI is over 40 and I have the usual health problems associated with obesity. I want to get banded and change my health around but my family/friends are comfortable with my weight They all think its too drastic, im not that big, my younger sister thinks i should just join a gym (She's small and is a dancer) :w00t: I have read s ome horror stories but everyone seems to lose weight which is my goal My question is has anyone been banded and not had much support from love ones...My doctor is the only one on board which not much of a support system thanks guys!
