So I love these little things. I went to get in my car this morning for work, after my fiance drove last night. The seat a mile away it seemed. Used to it was all the way back regardless who drove. My surgery left an incision in my belly button, I could not even see. It now sits above my belly button. That's just funny.
You don't realize under garments get bigger as clothes do til you raise your arms and opps...you ladies know what I'm talking about. You find your pants aren't the only thing sliding down. My knee high boots the stretchy back kind, no longer stretch but slide down too. Shoes I've lost a size and a half. My coat could easily fit me and a twin. I have ribs and a collar bone. I can run on the treadmill, not long, but hey I'm running. I no longer crave, soda, even diet. I bought one, yes but almost 2 weeks ago, never even opened it. Bought 14 skinny jeans yesterday. We are talking middle school people. That's how long it's been since this always fat girl has seen a 14 that fit more than one leg. Skinny, don't even get me started on skinny, never had anything labeled skinny in my size that fit.

My nutritionist said that you can actually have toast sooner than most people would expect because toasting the bread actually makes it easier to digest. My main concern would be, would that fill you up so that you don't get the level of Protein or other nutrients that you need. But my realism brain also says, you know if a half slice of toast with some butter will make you feel satisfied, do it once and move on, just don't overindulge on it

I was not allowed bread/toast of any kind until i was about 8 weeks post op and then you can have it but they suggested I didnt because toast is pretty much empty calories.
Turned out, my stomach did not tolerate toast until i was about 5 months post op and even then it had to be toasted really well.

It is. A dog is not just some animal. Dogs are companions who give us unconditional love, and who depend on us for their well being. The relationship between dogs and humans spans thousands of years and hundreds of cultures.

I have to admit that I will be going off plan tomorrow. I will have a spoonful of my mom's sausage and mushroom rice, I will have a broccoli ball (made with stuffing), I will have the tip of a piece of my aunt's buttermilk pie. Of course I will do the bariatric friendly turkey, green Beans with bacon, one of my smoked atomic buffalo turds, a deviled egg and some ham. I will say that this will be the most carbs that I've had since surgery and this lifestyle isn't about deprivation, it is about choices. Tomorrow's Portion Control will be mindful and come Friday I will be doing business as usual.

Just wanted to share my satisfaction with my progress..I stopped the pain meds the morning after surgery and according to my dr I'm doing very good. I went back to work 1/2 days at 6 days (I sit at a desk) I even went dancing for little bit Saturday. Taking my time eating and trying to find that 'full' feeling. I haven't gotten sick or anything which I'm so glAd for. I am down 36.4 lbs since 2 weeks before surgery. And looking forward to my new chapter.

And my husband and I just went out and bought kayaks for the kids for xmas. So I wanna be able to kayak with them. It helps me in succeeding. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

For my birthday I thought I'd have a hard cider, since I am cleared for anything. I got about 1/4 of the bottle down before I fell asleep. I think my hard drinking days are over. LOL.

I actually like the way I eat now better than before surgery. I learned to savor and appreciate every bite, rather than shovel it in and barely chewing before swallowing. I am pickier than I used to be because I want what little I do eat to be the best. No sense wasting limited sleeve space and calories on something that isn't delicious! Eating out is great, too. Now, instead of being done after just one meal, I get to enjoy whatever yummy thing I ordered 3-4 more times. And there's nothing I miss because there's nothing I don't eat.
