  1. Fitstar is a personal trainer app that is customized to you
  2. Too dang gone much (almost every day) but it holds me accountable even when I am fustrated.
  3. I am the same height as you and I got down to that weight on my own several years back and my sister made a claim that I was too small and anorexic. I think it was a combination of how the Black community looks at weight and her own issues with being overweight. I let it get to me and gained over 100 lbs. So with that said, try to understand if it is coming from a place of love but let it roll off of you. You know you best, they are outsiders looking in and worse case scenario you can tell them if they are hurting your feelings. If they love you they will listen and back off.
  4. Try Calm, they use it those who are about to have a colonoscopy and my nutritionist says it's say for constant use. Nothing but that works for me. I still take benefiber but I am 2.5 months out and only once have I pooped on my own at that was at 2 wks post op. Also, it is not forceful. Just drink plenty of water and you will feel normal again.
  5. You just might not recognize your full feeling. Mine is indigestion. I get a burning sensation in the back of my throat with both food and liquid and I know I need to stop. My stomach doesnt hurt nor do I feel stuffed. So now, when it gets close to that feeling I know to push them away.
  6. Surgery was 11/25/16. Lost 53 lbs before and after combined. I had a 3 week stall and seem to be in another one now.
  7. Try increasing your Protein if you can. When I get less than 70 g, I am so winded, I can't even finish my workouts. But you are also still in recovery, so don't push yourself too hard.
  8. Honestly I get like that when I am constipated and/or bloated. Not saying that is your problem. I just tend to stop eating.
  9. You're too early out, don't worry about calories just worry about getting your protein which will probably mostly be from your protein drink. I am 8 weeks and depending on what I eat I am mostly around 500 to 600 calories but I worry more about my protein and carbs.
  10. Inspiring story and beautiful pictures from a beautiful person
  11. Instead of making a protein SHAKE, use water and make a DRINK. Nectar has really good flavors. I am 8 wks and I still can't handle shakes.
  12. I agree! I work hard as h*ll post-op. I workout 6 days a week and I am very disciplined with my diet. As I tell people it doesn't matter how you do it because it all comes down to the same thing diet and exercise.
  13. Just stop entertaining these folks. They don't understand melaninated people can appear different shades. Some pics I look lighter and others I look darker all within the same photo session. Also you can't convince them with logic. From what I see is your legs were never really that big but it looks like you lost a lot in your chest. One pic you have on a bra and the other you don't. As women we know how a bra can change how our body looks. I lost about the same amount of weight as you and there is a big difference in my appearance as well because of how I carry my weight.
  14. You are rocking it lady and yes I believe you. It isn't that hard to see since folks want to play detectives. Good job!
  15. I have a protein drink and that is it.
  16. Ask about the gastric balloon. There are no incisions. My dad have bleeding issues but need to lose weight, and is looking into it.
  17. You guys do know Biotin is a vitamin B and there is no evidence that is makes facial hair. It is a water soluable vitamin which means your body will take what it needs and urinate out the rest.
  18. Biotin and making sure I take in enough protein even when I don't feel like eating/drinking
  19. I think that's great! I'm almost 4 months or and am on week two of couch to 5k. I also have a personal trainer come 3x a week, 30 min twice and an hour on Saturday. I usually walk in addition to the c25k 5 times a week. My surgeon said as long as we're feeling good, we can do what we want.I think I am just so lost on everything. I know there is no way I can afford the whole personal trainer thing Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App Try Fitstar app, I have been using it over about 2 weeks and I love it. 2 workout sessions a week is free but if you want more then you have to pay but I like it because it increases in intensity the more you work out. But, I am also one of those people I can motivate myself, I just need the structure.I can motivate myself too. I just get lost or too overwhelmed. I don't work. And I get exercised induced headaches and migraines. And I think that might be where I get lost with what I can do. I push through with my treadmill. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App That is where the app is the trainer. You do a fitness test and workout from there. I say just give it a try. It's free so what can you lose besides weight! Lol

  21. You lost 90 lbs! ???????????????????? That is amazing! Congratulate yourself! You still have a month to go. I suggest checking your carb intake and if that is good try increasing your exercise and water intake. But 90 lbs is still no small feat!????????????????
  22. Hey guys, so I am up just day dreaming before work about how I want to reward myself for meeting me weight loss goal. I think I want to plan a vacation outside the country, maybe close to home since there are still so many places I have never seen. Do/did any of you have any weight loss rewards planned? If so, what are/were they? It has been too many discouraging post lately, so I want to have happy thoughts!❤ Fyi: I am only 2 months post-op so I have some months a head of me. But, this helps me to stay focused when I exercise and eat.
