  1. Darn, this depresses me. Water has made me nauseous and about the only liquid I can stand is OJ. I'll have to find something else!I was like that for a while. I can only drink artesian spring water (I know super specific) and for a while I was only drinking Bai or Vitamin water zero. I attached a list of what my Nutritionist approves. Anything with stevia is okay, nothing artificial including sugar alcohol (they can hinder weight loss and induce diarrhea). I hope this helps.
  2. Any fruit will take you out of ketosis because your body processed fructose the same way it processes any sugars. Fruit is basically candy with some vitamins and minerals. So I don't eat fruit, not until I reach my goal weight. If I did I would count it.
  3. I count my carbs and that includes the ones in the protein drink, vitamin gummies, seed/nuts everything. I try to keep it below 50 g to keep my body in ketosis. When I went over that I was in a weight loss plateau for 3 wks wondering why I wasn't losing weight. Now I keep my carbs low, calories higher, and protein higher and I am back on track. BTW I am only 2 months post-op.
  4. I went through Blossom Bariatrics
  5. Calm is AMAZING!!!!!! It is magnesium citrate in powder form and the only that that keeps me constant. I also take benefiber in my water.
  6. Add an extra Protein drink and make sure you are drinking enough. Also remind yourself you are doing this to make your surgery safe by shrinking your liver and getting rid of a fatty liver. Good luck and stay positive
  7. I live in Vegas and had VSG almost 2 months ago. Who are you guys going through?
  8. My nutritionist recommend less than 50 g of carb to trigger ketosis.
  9. I have, the surgeon only prescribes it under certain circumstances. You friend is a year along and may be having trouble losing those "vanity" lbs.
  10. Mine seem to have. For over a week I have felt bloated and for a week some minor cramping but nothing yet. I am just sitting here like hurry up already. I am hoping this is why my weight loss has also stalled as well.
  11. I say stop when you feel pain. That may be your full signal and substitute with a protein drink. Try some flavored drinks like vitamin zero, GC, or any thing with stevia. That helped me. Everyone is different and you need to listen to your body. Maybe stick with funnel foods like eggs, Greek yogurt etc..
  12. My suggestion is lowered you carbs to less then 50g. That will put you in ketosis to start back losing weight. If you need to maintain than eat 50-100 g of carb. Eat only 3 meals, high lean protein, low carb. This carb amount doesn't leave much room, so I would lay off the starches and carbs like oatmeal and breads. I hope this help.
  13. Try Calm. It worked a miracle for me. It is magnesium citrate. I tried everything else and nothing but after a day and a half of use. I was normal again. So I use it every couple of days along with benefiber.
  14. I guess I am confused because you lost weight, so you are technically no longer at a stall.
  15. They say when you are having trouble tolerating the next phase, then you should go back to the last one. I had this happen where I was getting really bad acid reflux and mucus. I am back to mostly liquid protein and eating only what I know won't bother me like eggs, guacamole etc...
  16. Please explain how this is showing what your body is doing during a stall.
  17. Congrats, looking good! How long has it been?
  18. I use the patch and I also have chews. I like the patch but the chews taste like Starburst. Lol
  19. I was allowed. I tried eating by dipping my spoon and it felt like it was caught in my throat. I was 2 days post-op, so it was suppose to help but I haven't touched it since. I am now 4 wks.
  20. Man, I can wait to be like you guys. I am only 4 wks post-op and all of your pics are such an inspiration!!!!!
  21. If you have a fever and it is warm to yhe touch, go to the hospital. If not, take your pain meds.
  22. I think she just wanted us to know, it wasn't a question.
  23. If you are trying to lose weight, then stay away from the starches and carbs. I love peorogies, but when it comes to things like that I remind myself that my health comes first and once I reach my goal and learn how to eat and mange my weight then I can slightly indulge.
