  1. Sip SLOWLY and pay attention to how your body feels. I'm three weeks out and I occasionally forget and just drink quickly. When I do that, I get painfully gassy and it sometimes won't stay down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Two words: Old Navy. Inexpensive and easy to get stretchy skirts and pants. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. How YOU doin? #joeytribbiani Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. This may sound lame, but when I first got sleeved, I kept a small container of vaporub in my purse. I put a little around my nostrils so I couldn't smell the food. I also used whitestrips for my teeth when I'm cooking so I'm not tempted to graze. Don't laugh - it works! I found tricks like that great for just getting over the hump. After a while, I just got over it and quit craving stuff. I think a lot of it was habit. Unconcious comfort eating was automatic. Now I'm aware of it and don't do it anymore. 5. I'm three weeks post sleeve. When should I start adding in Fiber? What's the best way to do it? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  8. What kind of unflavored Protein Powder? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I know it's not a creamy soup, but I've enjoyed miso quite a bit. I keep Edward & Sons brand on hand. Go for the low sodium kind. To make a creamy soup, I've found adding Greek yogurt and Smash (potato flakes if you're not in the UK,) to a good broth make for a satisfying soup. I'm not yet ready for my beloved potato leek or cream of broccoli soups! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I find that if I eat any more than 2-3 ounces of anything I get immediately sick. That's generally a good deterrent. I used to binge eat as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Gas! Not fun gas where you can burp the alphabet. Just constant, unmoving gas. I would have a party if I could have just one big fart. Gas X strips help, but it never seems to completely go away! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Greek yogurt with some sf pudding mixed in.
  13. Oh congrats! You'll be wearing your little boy's jeans soon! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm having a similar problem. I've found chewing ice helps. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm about a week out and I haven't lost that foggy/lightheaded feeling. I'm still on Clear liquids and broth for now. Assuming maybe it's an Iron thing? Any suggestions? I'd prefer not to have to go get any more supplements! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Congrats!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Try swinging. (Not kidding.) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Have you tried Isopure? It's flavoured Protein Water. It's whey protein, but some people I know who are sensitive to lactose are fine with this stuff. You can get at Vitamin Shoppe and Amazon, plus other places I imagine. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I don't know about chewables. I got a pill crusher I use then dissolve the stuff in liquid. Think I got it at Boots. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I have hubby weigh me and keep track. He doesn't tell me the number. I will ask my progress every few days, but if I looked at the scale daily I would go crazy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. The gas is the worst part, bar none. I couldn't get the type of Gas X that dissolves on your tongue, so I got chewables I've been sucking on. This is gross, but vomiting will bring up the gas. Obviously food won't come up, just water and foam. That was the only thing that helped me a few times as the pain was so bad. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Discharged from hospital this morning. Sitting at the airport with my Vitamin Water and sucking on a gas x. Strangely happy about that! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I'm in Cambridge Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Hanging out here in hospital, being released tomorrow. Not thinking about food at all, just want to swim in a vat of gatorade! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I had the strangest craving. I would sell my soul from some sugarfree grape popsicles now! They're not kidding when they tell you not to drink. If I take more than one sipe every few minutes if comes back up. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
