  2. My surgeon has me on a very strict are op diet. 3 protein shakes a day and up to 250 cals of selected veggies. I'm on day 7 and I was doing so good. I thought I was strong enough to make a nice dinner for my family. Well I ended up eating a small kids bowl of lasagna. How screwed am I? I still have a mother week, but do would it still affect my liver? Please no harsh comments like I should have more will power, bla bla bla. I already feel bad enough ????

  5. I'm wondering if there are any succesful vegans or vegetarians. If so how does your diet look and do you have issues getting in your protien? I just watched food choices on Netflixand it was eye opening.

  9. How was the travel after your surgery? I will also be traveling home after surgery. It will be day 3 for me also so I'm just curious how the plane ride was for you.
  10. The clinic I'm going to told me about a nurse program that you pay them per hour. They will pick you up from the hospital and stay with you at your house or hotel for however long you need. It's supper helpful for out of town patients. That's the route I'm going since I have to travel so far. Just in case anyone else is having the same sort of issues I was having. Maybe that's something they can look into.

  17. I booked my surgery for January 26th. I want to thank you all for your positivity and helping me realize that it's no one's decision but my own. I'm really excited about this step and I can't wait to start my new healthy lifestyle. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

  20. Some of us adults respect the opinions of our loved ones. Having support is a lot easier then not having it at all. You don't need to be rude. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App
  21. Isn't it the worst. Us doing nothing about our weight is the easy way out. Surgery is not easy at all. Watching other people eat what they want is not easy. And cooking for your family something you can't have is not easy. My mother in law says the same thing. She tells me I should go to the gym everyday. Some people just can't lose the weight. It's not like we haven't tried. Gets me so mad! Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

  25. I'm going to Toronto for my surgery and I'm curious how many of you would have been able to go shopping and explore after surgery? My surgery is on the 18th and I have to stay the night in to hospital then I have to stay in town till the 21st. I really don't want to be cooped up in a hotel while I'm in a new city. 26. So.ypu felt good enough after surgery to go shopping? I'm going to Toronto for my surgery and I've never been anywhere. I will be there a few days post op. I hope I'm feeling up for shopping too! Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App

  28. It's seriously the worst feeling when the people who you would think would support you doesn't. Don't don't apologize at all. I feel the same way! Sent from my SM-G930W8 using the BariatricPal App
