  1. Hello, I have been approved as of Monday to have the sleeve done. I'm very excited because for me it's live or death. I'm writing this from a hospital bed that I have been in too many times within the last few months. I'm so weak now that I'm using my walker to get around and have fell a couple of times. I'm only 46. I have a tracheotomy it was done in April. The dr believes it can be pulled out once I have surgery and lose some weight. The surgery for me is highly risky will probably come out on a ventilator for a few days. All this is scary but I'm told if I don't have the surgery I am only going to get worse. Does anyone else have a tracheotomy and had WLS? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm getting the endoscopy done in the morning. Already in hospital. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight. There is a chance that I will wake up or that I will be on a ventilator for just a 2 minute procedure. I'm very scared of the later already been vented twice this year. That is what led to the trachea. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I am in process of getting sleeve done. I also have a tracheotomy. The dr has done procedure before on trachea patients. I am possibly going in for endoscopy tomorrow but have been told that I may end up on ventilator for just this procedure. I'm worried is the risk worth the benefits. Lung dr seems to think so.
