  1. The most important thing is Protein. I didn't think I was getting enough but I eat pork chops or steak and tuna. It has helped me Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  2. Has yours shifted yet? I'm sat at 52lbs loss and been sat here for at least 2 weeks ugh. Hope yours has shifted Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thank you for asking. I am 3 months and 1 week and have lost another 20. Total of 70. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  4. I still snack on things I shouldn't but it's much less than before. Because Protein fills you up. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  5. I was told to eat Protein first because at first you can't fit much. Now I am beginning to eat both protein and veg. Like beef and broccoli. Not much though. I am dropping pretty quickly. The more protein I eat the more I loose. Protein builds muscle and muscle burns fat. So protein helps burn fat. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  6. I can't understand why you weren't given any info. My do says to eat 60-90 grams of Protein a day. That helps you feel full so you won't want the other stuff. Use Protein shakes or bars. Premeir protein had both and pure protein. Drink lots of Water. If that's hard try Vitamin water or sobe. Orange and straw/kiwi are my favorite. Tea is also like water. Hot or cold. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App If you need any other ideas I will share what I know. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  7. I had issues with gas in the hospital but I am 2.5 months out and feel amazing. You have to remember that this is not a quick fix. This is a life changing thing. I would do it again if I could. I also lost 91 pounds in my own and gained all but 11 back. I hurt my knee and couldn't walk as much and needless to say will power just left. Think hard about it first but if you decide to do it, I think it's worth it. Just research and get all the facts. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  8. Your taste buds do change. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  9. I was the same with broth. For liquids try tea or Vitamin Water or life water. Reg water use to hurt my stomach. Also Jello and I heard you can mix Protein shots with jello Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  10. Where ever the biggest cut is, is where stomach was removed. Mine in right side center. Couldn't lay on right side due to being sensitive. It goes away. I am 2 months post op and for the last month or so I feel completely normal. Hot showers and heating pad helps with pain. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  11. Gurgling g still happens sometimes for me. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  13. Yes Protein bars. Some have 30g. Premier Protein has bars. Hummus is pureed. Tuna and fish sat well with me. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  14. I had pain when I drank too much. Walking helps alot. You may notice pain between shoulder blades but that's normal too. Hot showers or heating pad helps. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  15. I couldn't lift more than 10 for 2 weeks then another 2 weeks it was 25. After that I had no restrictions Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  16. I had lots of gas in stomach but walking helps a lot. I didn't have any pain the first week. The second week wasn't pain but you can feel your stomach muscles rebuilding. It feels like if you do too many crunches. When my stomach muscles were sore (but not painfull) I also it felt in between my shoulder blades. It could have been gas too. If you don't have a heating pad, get one. I would lay on it and it soothed my back which helped my stomach. Or stand in a hot shower and let Water hit your back. The heat helps. It did for me. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  17. Thanks that helped me too. I am 2 months post op but feeling the stall too. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  22. I had my surgery 8/29/16. You do go through an emotional rollicoaster. Even now with learning my new stomach sometimes it gets emotional. I was blessed. My boss and all my Co workers are behind me. I told them because I stayed out a few weeks so they would have wondered where I was. But the reaction people gave me when I was returned was priceless. Still figuring out that I can't eat that one last bite sometimes. But overall I am down 34 pounds and feel great. Have about another 70 to go. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  23. I have it too and so glad it's not just me but what causes that pain? And the weird thing is its at the same time my stomach muscles hurt Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
