    Dehydration after surgery

Baritastic! And it's AWESOME! Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  2. I'm right there with ya...sleeved on 9/12 and weighed in yesterday with no loss from prior week. Trying not to let it get to me too much. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

    Dehydration after surgery

I just used Crystal Light packets or the generic version from the grocery. I drank them for several months before surgery, but after surgery I could no longer stand the taste. So, now I just drink plain water and it's totally fine. I track my water intake using an app on my phone to make sure I'm getting enough. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

    Not feeling full

I'm 3+weeks post-op and I'm not getting "full" either. It seems like I get hungry again shortly after eating, so I can't tell if I'm eating enough or not and I hate that I'm constantly feeling hungry. I dont want to over eat, so I'm trying to be careful. I'm calling my dietician tomorrow because this has gone on for a few days now and it's getting really uncomfortable. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

    How much water per hour

My dietician said try to get 64oz a day (will take about a week of working towards that goal to accomplish it). Then, she also said try to break it down and do 4-5 ounces per hour (that will get you close to 64oz if you figure that you're awake for about 14 hours out of the day, minus the time you're eating or drinking your protein shakes). 6. I have to say that before surgery, I always liked the idea of tracking, but never stuck to it (a few days, a week tops). Post-op, however, I am very diligent about tracking on the Baritastic app. I don't really know why. I think I'm somewhat fearful about getting dehydrated or not getting enough Protein that it motivates me to keep better track. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

Am I able to eat to much?

I also get hungry more often, too. I just make sure to get a morning and late afternoon Protein shake in to help curb the hunger. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

Am I able to eat to much?

I just had my 2 week follow up last week and had basically the same issue. I felt as though I could intake more than I should be able to. But they said it was fine, some people's sleeve heals faster amd can tolerate more than others. They also said it would take a lot and be difficult to stretch the sleeve at this stage. 9. Try the Baritastic app. It's an app that is private and specifically designed for bariatric patients. It has been a life saver for me. I'm really picky about apps, too and I love this one. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  10. I am 3 weeks post-op sleeve and on soft & mushy foods. I weigh myself every Thursday morning and I didn't lose a single pound this week which has me extremely disappointed and frustrated. Furthermore, I'm feeling hungry ALL THE TIME! I don't want to over eat to the point of discomfort or dumping, but my stomach has that empty/burning sensation most of the day. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do and will it pass? Will I get to the point of feeling satisfied? Is the stall in weight loss normal? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

  12. I'm a few weeks post-op and twice in the past couple days I've had incidents where I physically could not swallow. Both times it was right after I took a drink of Water. It scared me because it was about 15 seconds before I could swallow again. Has anyone else had this experience? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App

Can I have some yogurt now ?!

Per my Dr.'s instructions, I was only on clear liquids for 2 days post-op. Yogurt was part of my "full liquids/pureed foods" diet which started on day 3 after surgery. I'm sure you would be fine. Just take it slow and make sure there are no small bits of fruit...it has to be completely smooth so as not to get stuck in your staple line. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  14. Tomorrow I transition from the "pureed/blenderized foods", to the "soft cooked/mushy foods". I'm having some trouble finding new things to eat in this stage. Suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks! Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm 13 days post-op and I feel like I can eat too much, too fast. For example, in the morning, I drink a full 8oz Protein shake which takes me about an hour to finish. I think that's fine, but then over the past couple days I've been feeling hungrier more often. So, I try to eat a couple ounces of protein rich foods throughout the day, and then a second protein shake in the evening. Have I stretched my sleeve already? Is that why I'm feeling hungrier? Is this normal? Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App
