Baby it's cold outside!
Thank God I have doggy heaters, because my husband doesn't like my cold limbs one bit!

Time your eating
20 minutes or so. I put my fork down, and sometimes have to remind myself to force my fork down. Hard habit to break. But I hate feeling sick so I force the fork down. I try to wait 1 minute between each bite.

Salads and Dry Mouth Questions
2 months on the salad. And biotene mouth rinse! It's helpful - I still get cotton mouth, but it's better than nothing.

Extreme fullness
I couldn't have full liquids until 11th day post op. Maybe dial back the jello.

Menstrual cramps
Tylenol and heating pad. My dog also helps.

Food Comfort
First, I'm very very sorry for your loss. My dogs are my children so I completely understand. This works for me - adult coloring books. They have them at Michaels, and everything is available on amazon these days. It makes you concentrate, and the end result is rewarding. I learned it as a trick to help panic attacks, but it's the same concept.

Sodas
This thread is pretty funny. Y'all get so mad about strangers on the internet who really do have the best intentions.

Why does bad food slide through?
Interesting thread. I've never know the scientific why.

Boobs! [emoji523]
Yep! They were actually first to go, but I'm still large breasted. I was DDD. 3 months later, D. I've been a D most of my skinny adult life. I assume they'll stay here.

I need these! I'm eating with toddler utensils.

How do I manage to get enough protein daily!?
P3 packs (once you're cleared for nuts) Greek yogurt Tuna cheese (lots of cheese sticks, cheese cubes, etc.) Refried Beans Special K Protein Cereal with Fairlife (not low carb if you're doing that) I can't stand protein shakes. Yuck.

Anybody try Mexican food post on?
Yes. Burrito bowls minus the rice, a local place has a good chicken tortilla Soup (sans tortilla), refried Beans, avocado. I find Mexican the easiest to eat actually. Italian is a challenge.

Water, crystal light vs sparkling water
I also mix my drinks with half water so they don't taste sickly sweet. Vitamin water zero, g2, powerade zero, diet cranberry. Just try lots of things

I miss coffee! What's the point of decaf?!
coffee tastes horrible to me. I used to start every morning with a large iced coffee. Tastes horrid now. So I've been off caffeine over 3 months now. All is good. Same.

Agreed!! I definitely watched surgeries on youtube.

Popcorn
yea I'm shocked that a de would allow it that early I'm not allowed popcorn till around 6 months either. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was allowed at 10 weeks. I can't imagine even wanting popcorn at 3??

Popcorn
I eat popcorn. It's an easy snack. I eat half a bag which is 50cal. That's the Orville heartsmart or something to the nature of.

Tea
I want something healthy but still has good taste. I like fruit. I saw a chocolate ones.Any of their fruit herbals/rooibos are caffeine free and quite tasty - like juice when iced. Chocolate won't taste as good as it sounds/smells in store (like watery cocoa). Oolong tea helps with digestion if you drink it regularly (2x/day). It has a bit more caffeine, but still low. I'd try a sampler kit. There should be plenty given the Holidays. You won't get any health benefit from bagged tea (but it won't hurt you either) Happy to answer any other questions! Best wishes!

Non-scale victory!
I can now get mine off to be cleaned/inspected without ANY lotion, soap, etc.

What's your pre surgery weight?
Yeah it took me 5 months to lose 50 pounds. Then I really slowed down. Especially when we are talking relative "lightweights" like the OP is (and I was), the weight loss isn't as dramatic as some that start out heavier. I've lost 55 pounds in 10 weeks - but a big caveat there is I'm 5'10. So my goal weight is 175. I'm sure it's about to slow down. HW 310 SW 300 CW 255

Drinking BEFORE eating
I drink up until I eat. Then wait 30-45 min after. I never have an issue with drinking before, just after. It's fine on my plan.

Tea
I used to manage and open Teavanas. What are you interested in? There's all kinds.

Eating normal as in pre surgery normal
Something ironic is that often the portion we can eat is indeed the serving size. This doesn't hold true for everything, but servings are often 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Just something I find interesting.

Medications with Applesauce - UGH
I still take mine with applesauce. 11 weeks out. I've tried yogurt and pudding which are ok, but I always go back to applesauce.
