  1. Hi All, I'm doing well ???? been up for a shower, walking around the ward. Had 3 small spoonfuls of yogurt. Siping Water. Tried peppermint tea for gas. But I'm burping. Woke up from theater well, I was able to do mindfulness and the nurses helped me stay present. Emotionally I'm so happy with my choice, feeling in control. Feeling very sore, and nausea comes and goes. My stomach muscles hurt! But it's so worth it!! Thanks for all the kind words xx I'll keep posting.
  2. hospital gown.. so glamorous haha

  5. Feel your frustration, hope it picks up again soon.
  6. Can he climb? After my c-section six months ago I had my second child who is 3 stand up on a chair, foot stool or lounge so I could hug him. As for dressing him I found that hard, but I dressed him while I sat down. I'll be doing fire this recovery as well . The dr said that recovery will be smilliar to a c-section. I don't know, I was also told not to lift.
  7. Just wanted to say congratulations, amazing results.
  8. Oh no! How it passes soon. Cashews are my love in the nut world...
  9. Even if your a troll this thread is entertaining... Mmm gaining 30 pounds to get WLS is not the right way to go. Your asking for advice from this forum, mine is to look into other options.
  10. I feel like you are now pushing you're story a bit to far. Reading your posts you seem desperate to get people to reply and to pay attention to you. God luck on whatever journey your on.
  11. No worries, I was determined to call the surgeon and cancel. I was telling my hubby all about why this is an awful decision, poor thing just nodded his head and kept quiet incase I started yelling at him. I was able to calm down read through my journal and think back why I mage this choice. Hope you can make it through the next 4 days wuthering little stress as possible.
  12. First day of many more healthy ones, good luck on your journey
  13. Wow, congrats on feeling awesome!
  14. Wow I can not believe tomorrow is my surgery! I remember 4 weeks ago when the doc gave me this date I thought it was ages away. But now its only one sleep away. Honestly I've been average on the pre-op diet. Only doing two meals replaced a day and sometimes not the best choices for the other meal and some Snacks. But I have made a lot of positive changes to my habits. As for emotionally I've been in therapy for 3 years, I have Complex Post Traumtric Stress Disorder from childhoold aduse (won't go into detail but a really horrible childhood). I depended on food to get through it, I used food to help me hide my pain and memories through my teens and 20's but now I've learned new ways to tackle life and food has a lesser grip on me. I think more clearly before eating, I don't binge everyday. I'm not perfect! I still make mistakes with food but I'm happy with where I am before this surgery. My pyshratric Doc sent of my back ground to the hospital so the recovery nurses will know I can be triggered by waking up and being in a different environment. The ward is happy for my hubby to stay overnight in my room to help me if memories and anxiety are triggered. So I'm set. Sister in law comes tonight to stay with my kids. Just need to finish my bag. Yeek it's here! I'm down 4kg (about 8ish pounds) in preop. My mind is struggling with the fact I'm going to lose weight... it's like "what??" In my life I haven't lost more than 15kg but then put it back on.. my mind is struggling with the concept..
  15. I'm going for surgery tomorrow and 3 days ago I was freaking out to. Today I'm better, taking so breaths and try to stay in the moment xx good luck on this journey
  16. I read the bear sausage to and thought "What...." is that a thing? Lol
  17. So sorry your going through this. You sound tired which is normal after any surgery! Your sister and mother sound awful, can you tell them no? And not working doesn't mean they can use you! Your needs matter. I don't think you'll always be fat, you have made the decision to have this surgery, give it time. If he isn't talking to you, don't contact him. If he can walk away after 11yrs with no reason, don't bother! Take deep breaths and say kind things to yourself. Xx You are worth so much more than your family are giving you right now. Good on you for coming in here to vent and get encouragement.
