Crying on the bathroom floor
I had two stalls, right around my periods both, week before and week during. Then I jumped down by 4 pounds out of nowhere. Maybe it has something to do with it. This close to surgery it can be anything from the gas you have been pumped with, lack of bowl movement to water retention do to sodium intake. The water from the IVs that is.

Any other November sleevers out there?
Hey November sleevers. How's everyone doing?

Smoking
So, I'm nearing two months post op and had my first smoking session (fruit ho0kah). I shared which means I took about three or four drags. I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but pre-surgery I went from smoking several times a day to abstaining for two months. I have no intentions of letting this become a habit I will continue regularly, but smoking occasionally is probably something I will do from time to time. Hi! Questions for sleeved persons
I'm 6 weeks post op. I was initially afraid of how it would be when I went out with people. Upside is I always tell company whom I have not told about my surgery that I am just not that hungry to begin with. Then I proceed to order from the appetizer menu. I intentionally look for Protein things, and soft foods. Once our food arrived, ate in very small bites and stopped when I felt full. I've had waiters often ask if they could pack to which I've said no for the most part. I am also a much better and attentive company because when I'm not eating it's about being social when others are chewing, lol, so when there is no food in my mouth there are often words. What's still odd to me is not drinking and eating at the same time. I would maybe after being done with my food for a half an hour take a sip or two of the Water. I'm okay with this because as they say nothing will eve taste as good as being skinny feels so it's a good trade off. I'm also hopeful I'll be able to consume a bit more much further down in my journey. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Feeling frustrated
Add fiber to your diet. I felt like that for about the first three weeks too. After adding fiber (chewables), I had less constipation and was able to go to the bathroom with ease. This made me lose weight again.

Silly fear - Scared of NEEDLES (anyone?)
Afraid of needles, with extremely small veins so I had to be poked several times until they found it. All and all though, this was the least memorable part of the surgery. I knew getting paid meds and fluids was a priority so I was happy once they'd fixed the IV

No Hairloss?
I'm trying to keep up with all my multivitamins, while eating iron and protein rich foods like sorghum and liver. 6 weeks in and its been so far so good.

Sleeved 11/25 - My immediate post-op goals - What are yours?
Celebrating 5 weeks today. My goals are to have more water and to eat more solids. I loved eggs before the sleeve now find that I can't take it at all. I am also so sick of water. Ugh, I'm beginning to think the self-hate, omg what have I done, part of my journey has begun.

Feeling Pretty Low
It takes a lot to realize this and admit to yourself, Ms queen. Now that you have found Bpal perhaps it will provide the help and support you need. Where I live/work right now there are no support groups. I paid for my own surgery out of pocket so no doctor for follow ups. I am my own main support and it scares me. Especially now that I feel so lost. food and smoking were both my comfort in the company of others and my own loneliness. They gave me pleasure and made me relax. Now after my VSG surgery, it's taking some time to get used to without both, surrounded by others I have yet to confide in about my surgery. You see it's hard but I'm determined.!!!! Weight-loss goals are life long goals. Don't feel like a failure. Instead use to refuel you in new year. Oh and I'm here for you if you need help.

Ugggh! Flu season
Yep, got me pretty bad too. Coughing and a sore throat. Doctor said I have to take antibiotics and it's making me go frequently to the bathroom. I'm afraid of getting dehydrated so much (64-72oz) but it's so hard.

Can I lie - hernia op?
@@bossportsgal I have not told anyone. It took me a week to recover and three weeks to return to work. So far so good. Tell them you got hernia, or gallbladder issue, and that you will now need to be on a strict diet for recovery. If and when you start feeling more comfortable with sharing, the people who matter wont mind, and those who mind wont matter. Good luck.

Sharing My Post-Op Diet Plan
My doctor is very detailed oriented that's for sure. What were you allowed to have during your first week? Sent from my SamsungGalaxy using BariatricPal App Just liquids. I'm starting week 3 tomorrow, and I am finally allowed to start on some softer foods. I have tried mash potatoes, greek yogurt, and chicken, and Beans already. Happy to report it all went well. I can't have more than one teaspoon at a time though. Or else just like a little baby it gets stuck, and I may have to get it up again. (disgusting)

Getting Sleeved in MX on Monday the 5th!
No, pain stopped after day 2. Initially right after surgery I was on an IV and they would come by and give me pain meds every couple of hours or so. When I felt pain I would call on them for more. After going home, I have been sore at times but there's not a thing Tylenol can't help. They gave me antibiotics and anti-gas medication. So far so good.
