Sharing My Post-Op Diet Plan
wow. I like this list much better than mine, and how its detailed about how much to try at first. I was told not to start Protein until week two. Since I only have a day or two left, i'll wait. I miss mashed potatoes.

Sleeved 11/25 - My immediate post-op goals - What are yours?
Hi all, I was sleeved on the 11/25, and am now three days out. I had gas pains and was quite nauseous right after the surgery. I think I threw up about 3 times, and I was a bit alarmed because I saw some reds in there. Worried whether things were ok. My surgeon did not use a drain, so I did a leak test while on the x-ray, and everything went well there. no leaks. I'm actually pleasantly surprised that the liquid did not burn going down, or did not taste too bad. Went home after two days in the hospital and was given anti-gas, anti-nausea, and anti-pain. I have only taken the anti-pain so far once. My immediate goals are to get the surgery gas out as much as possible. I have been walking around a lot and that has helped tremendously. I also noticed the more I ate of warm broths, the better luck I had with burping. And yes, For every burp I felt better and better! My second goal is to get as much fluids in. So far I have been able to have a few ounces of chicken broth, shrimp broth, and onion ring broth (only liquids). Yesterday, I had dragon fruit flavored Water. This went down well. I sipped the entire day. Challenges: I am still learning when it comes to eating slower, and sipping. I have been an extremely fast eater all my life so this has been a bit hard. Especially when I find myself doing it mindlessly. The slower I sip the more likely I am in getting down more liquids. How's everyone doing? What are or what were your immediate goals after getting Sleeve surgery?

6 days post op and screwed up bad...
its so dangerous and not worth it to eat during this time. I hope your sleeve is still intact and that all is well with you. Update us on how you feel. I just wanna add that I can understand the opening the door to something else, part though. As an food addict you never should put yourself in a position where you can't stop or will fail. One cheat always leads to another. Good luck.

Waves of emotions
I'm self-pay, so I did my research, settled on a doctor, and set my own date. Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out for not having gone through the many months of classes and pre-requirements. I wonder if I'm ready enough to do this, if I know enough. A lot of self doubt, basically. Other times I'm glad to just get it over with, and not think too much more. I'm two days away from surgery and it's been a rollercoaster of emotions. I worry, I'm excited, I feel brave, I am super nervous but I'm keeping it all together. A new life, where I look and feel better, where I can do so much more than I am able to is the goal, and I'm not letting my fears get in the way of that.

Just did some real disrespectful stuff!
OP, and those of you who have had the surgery (I'm still pre-op here), When you did something your stomach did not agree with did you have any vomiting? If yes, does it help usually or hurt more? How can you differentiate between Gas pains after eating or something much worse such as long-term intolerance? @@Anthony74, I hope you feel better & that everything is still intact with your sleeve.

Single Incision Laparoscopic Sleeve, Anyone?
Aspiring Bikini Model. If I could just lose all of this weight, haha. Thanks for the response. I'm just worried about what it will look like. I wish there was a scars thread on here, so I could have some sense. There are not enough photos on Instagram. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Single Incision Laparoscopic Sleeve, Anyone?
Is there any one who has had SILS? More so, interested in knowing if anyone over 40 BMI has had it done? I am considering this route because I am so afraid of not healing properly from any scarring. Also I read that it's less painful than that of the regular sleeve. Please let me know

Who knows about your surgery?
I'm a very private person naturally, and have not told anyone. I want to see how long this can last.

Help: advice needed. Smoking and setting surgery date
I've been delayed in setting a surgery date due to work obligations. I am also an occasional smoker (not cigarettes) but sheesha/hkah. I want to start my pre-op and set a date. Perhaps within the two week window. I have been good about staying away from carbs and sugar, but far from perfect. I was thinking one week of pre-op then the surgery. Is this going to be very risky for me? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Made a private VSG Instagram
I opened an account too. So embarrassed about posting pre-op photos. I'm really hoping after my surgery And I've seen some changes I will feel much more comfortable. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Did you cheat on Pre Op?
You will be okay. It could have been worse. Like Soda etc. Also, I dont know about you but guilt always makes me feel worse enough to eat more.Try not to cheat during the 48 hours before for sure! Good luck!

October 9 Surgery - need a buddy/mentor
Dear friends! I'm looking for anyone who has gone through the surgery to see me through. I don't start the Preop until 2 weeks before that around the 24th. I am paying for the surgery myself so I did not need to go through extensive therapy. I am afraid that I just don't know enough or will have enough of a support. Diet tips, what to expect, check ins and any other support you may give, I would be deeply indebted. Thanks for any responses, really.

October Surgery
My surgery is on October 9, 2016. Two weeks before I will be on a liquid diet. I have started to drink a lot of Water. I am also a heavy smoker and am trying to cut it down before the two weeks which I hope to do 100% smoke free. I'm using my Fitbit watch to ensure I get to walk more. I don't know what else to eat/do. I am self pay so it was just a matter of setting an appointment for surgery for me. I know others have to wait for 6 months and have time to get into diets etc. Good luck to you all!
