Gaining
Try the pouch reset. Worked like a charm to kickstart weight loss w a friend of mine who had started regaining weight after having had successful surgery 8 years ago. Look it up on here or on Google. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Not telling anyone. What do you say?
"Thanks for noticing. I'm working on it." And believe me, the surgery is only part of it....You'll be working on it. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

HELP!
Try the drinkable yogurts. The chobani ones that you can find at Walmart and other stores I'm sure are fantastic. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

3 days post op
It sounds like a magnesium deficiency to me. I'm sure they'll run some bloodwork if you report it to a Dr. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Weight stalled after only 7 days
I stalled early too. Every body is different. I do think ppl w lower starting weights lose more slowly. I do think I lost some inches during the time of the stall - my clothes got bigger on me. Stick w your plan. It'll start coming off again, I promise. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Taste Buds
Yes to all. Also I am hypersensitive to smells and textures of food. Makes me wonder if this is how it is for people who don't struggle with their weight. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Able to eat almost anything
Not everyone feels restrictions right away. I didn't. The nerves in your stomach have to heal. So, stick w your Dr's guidelines. The restrictions - which are helpful in gaining self control - will come. Also the volume and texture of the wrong foods can apparently damage the pouch. So be patient and follow the rules. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Eggs
Sometimes I can eat one slowly taking small bites, and sometimes they make me terribly sick. No rhyme or reason. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Has anyone used gas x strips after surgery?
I used them once. Almost threw up from the intense taste, but they did help get rid of the gas. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

SLOW Loss (3-4 lbs per month)
3 to 4 pounds a month on 900 calories a day sounds strangely slow to me. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Am I able to eat to much?
I've read on here it happens bc the nerves are not healed in your stomach yet. Search "no feeling of fullness" or something like that and the explanations should come up. I wish they covered this in classes before the surgery! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Hypersensitive to smells
Yes. My sense of smell has gone into hyper drive. So many smells bother me. Even some food...which I am A-OK with, lol. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Omg I'm so much pain...
I felt increasingly sick and nauseous over two days home from hospital. Also had increasing abdominal pain. I'd developed a hernia. Ck w your dr. Better safe than sorry. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

If I knew then what I know now-
Not everyone "can't eat" at first. Be prepared for damaged nerves to inhibit your "full" sensation and ask what your maximum input on food should be. Just bc you can eat it doesn't mean you should. You can damage stomach if you don't restrict yourself. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Too early to worry?
I had very similar issues. Three weeks out I can eat less than five days out. It'll come. Like someone said....measure! It'll stop you from harming your pouch. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

Starting to worry
How far out are you? I was worried about the same thing until recently. The further out I get from surgery and more advanced I get in diet the less I can eat. It'll come. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
