I had 112 pounds worth of back up. Believe me, I could have survived longer than most small towns in Georgia with all the extra weight I was carrying.

Okay. I am aware of what the surgery does, as I have been planning this surgery for a year. I will do what is right for me. I am willing to change and I want to change.... but I mean, you can't just stop wanting something because the doctor says so. If you were addicted to drugs and were told to just stop, could you? No.... it takes time, it takes support and I'm aware of this... but your "sighing" and pretty much telling me that since I cheated and ate chicken fingers and fries for dinner one night that I am not mentally capable of having a surgery is not why I am here. I am here for support.

Maybe some of us just need to reach out to the others that have the same struggles. Years of bad habits can not be changed with the flip of the switch. Oh and BTW, some pre-op diets, like mine, are not meant for ketosis because they have too many carbs.

Thank you for posting this!! I'm on day 3 of my 3 week all liquid pre-op diet and also hate the taste of sweeteners; artificial or otherwise! I literally just guzzle the drink and chase it with some tea or Water.
    Thanks for all the suggestions.
I'm probably more struggling with the hunger in the afternoon. Need to spread out my shakes better to stay satisfied. I've only had 1 good day out of 3. Feeling a little bummed about that. But changes take time.

I went to a physiotherapist for an issue that sounds the same. Had it for a year! She told me my butt was weak. Started doing exercises, they helped a little. But it went away on its own I think. Not sure if that is helpful at all. Maybe your butt needs time to adjust

You could try some lemon or lime slices in the Water. I enjoy that to change things up.

thisisthenewme got a reaction from OKCPirate in When do you delete your online dating profile?
You can hide your profile so ppl can't see it and message you. That way you can focus on her without distraction.
But, I think, if you like her and you want to see where it goes, you don't need the profile anymore, right? If it doesn't work out, just make a new one.
I met my husband online and after we agreed to focus on each other, we both agreed to delete our profiles 4 years together this January!

There is an app called bariatric timer that reminds you when to eat and drink. It also lets you know when it's ok to drink again after eating and vice versa. Has a journal/daily log with a changeable clock for food entries. I just purchased a Garmin vivofit 2, heard a lot good things about it, and it yells at you when you don't exercise enough haha

I dunno. sometimes you're not sure if this is the person you want to focus on, sometimes you do know right away. My husband and I met online, but not in a dating site - this was the dark ages before electricity, lol. we were friends for about 6 months because I was DEAD SET against ever getting involved with a man again - no boyfriend, no dating, no remarriage. and he slowly won my trust and I agreed to meet in person. we knew that week that we never wanted to be away from each other again. and a few months shy of 20 years later we feel all that and more. The man knows what he wants and he makes very sure every day that I know that forever with me is what he wants.
so if you're not sure, then keep the profiles and look around. if you want to focus on her to see if she is the one, hide them so they aren't distracting you - and if you know she is who you want to pursue then delete them and pursue her and see where it goes.

It is tough. "The grass is always greener" problem can really hinder trying to make a deeper connection. You can hit a pause button by hiding your profile. I have only deleted my profile twice and let the person I was dating know I did it, and strangely enough we both had done it about the same time. I usually accept that as a VERY good sign. It does take two to tango.

Ok, my opinion is some people hide their crazy pretty well....like it can take months before you begin to know a person . However I personally can't build a relationship while juggling many men. What I did when I met my boyfriend is i dated, non exclusively for around 6-8 weeks. When I was ready to be exclusive I stated my desire/intentions. I knew he was pretty into me so he was GLAD to hear me say this!
We just celebrated our 6 months together, and we see each other almost daily. It's going good.

I'm not a juggler dating type. I date, find out if I would like to keep dating and continue to date that person. If I dont give my full attention to that person, I will never fully know if they were a match for me. I know pretty fast if they are my type. But luckily I found someone and no longer need to date. Hated dating. And I would run for the hills if someone expected me to chase them. Lol no. Playing games was fun, playing games with peoples hearts is just egotistical, emotionally scummy and childs play. I dont want to deal with a child in my adult relationship.

You're right, dating and not being serious to one person is all about a numbers GAME. Finding love is not about having a backup plan. My husband proposed to me after we were together only one month. 11 months later we got married. 4 years later, we still have a fantastic marriage because we are 100% committed to each other and have been that way since day one.
But I do think age is a factor here. If you're younger, play the game all you want I guess. When you're older it's easier to see quality
