Look for yogurts with about 8 grams of sugar. broth is wonderful. Spoonfuls of refried Beans with tiny drops of taco sauce and FF sour cream filled a craving. The semi puréed homemade chili was a staple especially on Thanksgiving day. Each tiny bite of food was so good and satisfying. Cottage cheese, puréed. Homemade vegetable Soup with no carbs. Puréed chicken with vegetables and FF broth. I still enjoy simple things. Best of luck.

I am just beginning here. I am looking at pre-measured portions. I don't want to stretch out my stomach. I need to stay away from things like sugar, fats, etc. Nutritionist says Greek Yogurt has more Protein than regular. I guess this is look for high Proteins with adding of some vegetables. Help me take this step to success.

I had my 2 week post op visit and was told absolutely no exercise until week six. Until then and encouraged is walking, walking, walking. While here in South Florida that is near impossible, its so blazing hot. So I head to the mall now and walk there.
Fluid intake is difficult in the beginning. Wait until you move to soft foods. With the 30/30 rule, I'm finding it even more difficult to get the Protein and the fluids in. Everyday I wake up earlier so I can start earlier but it is hard

I was about 5 or 6 days post op before I turned the corner and could get fluids in more easily. Just keep at it with the sipping - seriously, the first couple days home i would start sipping at 6 am and not stop until midnight and still only get about 44oz in. Then one morning the sips went down MUCH easier.
Most programs don't want you doing any core exercise until 6 weeks out so you can heal. However, you can walk walk walk starting immediately. Just try to walk a little further/longer each time. At 6 weeks I added in some resistance band work and more intense exercise DVD's.

Walking only for 6 weeks or until your dr allows you(My wait was 8 weeks). Walk a little longer/further each day. Then it was a gradual increase of running and weight lifting.
If you have a Planet Fitness near you, you can get a membership for $10 a month and they have free personal trainers.
Are you eating yogurt, s/f Jello, s/f pudding, s/f Popsicles? They all count toward your Fluid intake and was allowed on my 2 week liquid post op diet
