Go you! Weight is dropping fast and furious!! I'm down 15 lbs since I started last Friday!! It's exciting that the numbers are going down but even more exciting knowing that it will never go back up to this. Woohoo!!!

Thank you for making me feel like I am not the only one losing it! Idk if it will help you, but yesterday after I posted this, I sat down and wrote a letter to my post op self and I listed all of the reasons I came to this decision, and listed all of the things I want to do that I feel I can't or won't because of my weight (go on a roller coaster, buy a bra at Victoria's Secret, fit into a shirt I loved at White House Black Market, run a mile). It made me feel a lot more at ease and reassured and even brought some excitement. We will be okay! Lots of Luck this week!

WOW. Surgery date for me is 9/2... One week to go. And this post is everything that is running through my mind right now. EVERYTHING. Knowing that I'm not the only one who's thinking it is reassuring!!! Like you, I'm doing it, no matter what. No turning back. But that doesn't change what is going through my mind!!! I feel for your insecurities but I am so grateful that you've expressed them!!! You're not alone!! Luck!!

I'm one week out from surgery. One week from now, I'll be in my hospital bed wondering what I got myself into
The first week of the liquid diet has gone pretty well. Haven't cheated yet and I've lost about 9 lbs! Hopefully I can steer clear of temptation and not get too sick of Soup. Hopefully the stuff I'm eating will shrink my liver down to make my surgeon happy.
So much for a constructed post... I'm hungry dammit. I know good lies ahead.
Just wanted to ramble on a bit.

Here I am, 11 days from my sleeve surgery- September 2/16!! The sweetness of the shakes and bars are torture and so far, I haven't been able to get through my daily intake of it. Anyone else having trouble? And any September Sleevers from Canada??

I'm scheduled for the 2nd of September. I'm on the pre op diet now and having a hard time with it... I can't get the shakes and bars down. They're so sweet. On a positive note, 3 days in, 9 lbs down and only 11 days until the surgery! I'm nervous and stoked and hangry and excited. How're you doing with it? Where are you from?

I am over this pre op diet!!! shakes and bars that are too sweet. The only thing not sweet is the Water. And that seems to be all I can get down without gagging. 3 days down, 11 more to go.

I'm scheduled for September 2/16!! I'm on day 3 of my 2 week pre-op liquid diet and struggling. I'm having a hard time getting the sweet shakes and sweet Protein bars down and my pre op diet only includes shakes, bars, Water and one cup of tea or coffee a day. So far, I haven't been able to actually get all 3 shakes and 2 bars down each day. Hoping that isn't going to be a problem when I go for my one week pre op appointment. Anyone else having trouble with the sweetness?!
I'm excited though. And nervous. But mostly excited!!

The brand for both the bars and the shakes is Proti and it's not an option to switch
I talked to the nutritionist today and she suggested I try freezing it and then chipping it off to eat it. I'm going to try that today and see if I can manage that. 3.5 days down, 10.5 to go!

Should specify... East Coaster here... I'm a few hours away from Vancouver too. Like more than 6. And by plane. Hahaha
