  2. Happy 39th Birthday bperkins11!

  3. Ok I know that there is a lot of different things out there on this some doctors say its ok others not at all. So my question is for those of you who ARE banded and have drank carbonated drinks, have you had any trouble? Have you had your band/pouch checked to see if there is any sign of it being damaged/stretched? Thanks for any help. Brandy

    How much so far??

Hi Jamie, I was banded on April 24th and I have lost 50 lbs. I am with you I miss being able to eat whatever I want also, but I guess that is why we did this huh. I would like to loose about 27 lbs more. How about you? I don't know about you but I still have a hard time noticing it I get lots of compliments and I can see it on the scale and I have been having to buy plenty of new clothes so they don't fall off but when I look at my body I still see no change. 2nd fill had lost 1 cc

<hr style="color: rgb(217, 217, 217); background-color: rgb(217, 217, 217);" size="1"> Okay I had my second fill yesterday, my first fill was 3cc's. When the pulled out the old fill I only had 2cc's. The Dr. told me that this is quite common in the first few fills, but couldn't/didn't explain to me why. Has anyone else had this experience or if anyone knows why this happens I would love to hear from you. I have called and left a message with the nurse, but never know for sure when you will hear back and I have been up all night wondering if my band is okay. Thanks again, Brandy

Anyone in Idaho been banded in Idaho?

Hi Idahoans, I'm in Pocatello and had my surgery done in Blackfoot by Dr. Avila. He was awesome and the hospital staff where also awesome. Being such a small town they really care for their patients. It's nice seeing people so close to me lets all keep in touch with how we are all doing. I had my surgery April 24, 2007 have lost 20 lbs so far and have my first fill today a little nervous about it but also excited to start loosing the 1 to 3 lbs a week cause I have been stuck at 18, 20 lbs forever. Keep in touch, Brandy
  9. Thanks all for all the input. This site is so awesome, I think that the best advice we can get or give is from our own experiences. And on here you can usually find someone who has tried or knows something that we don't know yet. Thanks again for all the help on my new band journey.
  10. Okay this is the first time I have ever wrote on here, but I've been reading for months. Last night I was laying in bed and this question came to mind so any help would be awesome. I gave up pop as soon as I decided I was going to have the lap band surgery done. I was banded on April 24th. My question is if the band goes around the outside of the stomach, how does drinking pop/beer make the band erode if the pop/beer is going through our stomach not around the outside of the our stomachs. Thanks for anything you can give.:confused2:
