Jane ... I hear ya! I'm 44 and every time I try a new plan of action something gets in the way, knee goes bad, hip hurts, swimmers ear, plantar ficitis etc... of course I have my tiny doubts in my head that say ... did you try everything out there, did you really give that last diet a chance .... I know I have done my best and now it's time for help (meaning sleeve surgery). I'm excited that you made the choice too. Sorry I high jacked your thread. I just started reading, The Emotional First + Aid Kit (second edition). All I have to say is WOW! I love her real life approach and wisdom (good and bad). I have been doing my research, have heard some scary stories and have also heard and seen some amazing life changes. I am also reading Ultimate Gastric Sleeve Success by Duc C. Vuong. I am definitely physically prepared and exhausted but emotionally I have been shedding tears (and I'm not a crier, I take Zoloft and that basically makes you emotionless). I am new to the forum but have been doing research (more like listening watching and trying to learn) from other people on this site and another sites ... I do have a question, might be a silly one however. Okay - I have read the "horror" stories and a lot of them are because of lack of hydration. Now I am a HUGE Water lover so I am not sure how this could happen. Is it just because your tummy doesn't like it or because you are throwing up too much?
