  1. I won't really NEED to drive, I'm just trying to ask questions as I think of them. I have my 2nd Nut appt next week, then the following week the psych and testing. Anything I should know for those appts? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  2. I wish mine was outpatient. It SHOULD just be overnight if everything goes ok. Good luck! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi. I will be getting my sleeve surgery in June, I was wondering, do you have to wait a certain amount of time to drive after surgery? Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  6. I got from scared to death to excited beyond belief. I am looking forward to being able to easily do the everyday things that right now are hard for me..like tying my shoes (my back is so stiff in the am, it makes it difficult I want to run and play with the kids, go into a room and NOT look for a "strong enough" chair, buy cute clothes. I think these thoughts help me to deal with the fear. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  7. Hopefully I have it as easy as you! Good luck!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App That's what I'm afraid of Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  8. Ugh. I KNOW sleeping on my back wpuld be horrible for me. I might just get a recliner in case. We can always use more seating in my house anyway lol Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  9. I also have back problems. I mostly have problems with stiffness and pain. If I stay in bed too long, it gets worse. I'm hoping it won't be an issue. Thank you for your response. And good luck. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  10. I hope I have as good an experience as you!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  11. I am also scheduled for June, snd I have noticed that when I eat something "bad" or too much of something, I don't feel as guilty. I guess it's kind of like not taking care of your car because you know you are trading it in. I realized I was doing this, so I started making some small changes. I've been trying out Protein shakes and bars to see which one I'll use after surgery. I have been NOT eating something just because it's there. I switched to sugar free things and high protein yogurt. I am going to make bigger changes as I get closer. I don't want to get "too far gone" Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  12. I am scheduled for surgery on June 14, I had read about people needing to sleep in a recliner for the first week or so due to pain or the inability to get comfortable. I am stricktly a stomach and side sleeper. How many of you needed to sleep in a recliner? I'm considering buying one for my recovery. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  13. Ok, I just tried the yoplait Protein Greek 100, it wasn't very sweet, but I think I can make it work lol. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  14. I went to a paint night with friends last night, and as soon as I walked in, I panicked because my 1st 2 thoughts were...the chair isn't going to hold me and the apron isn't going to fit. Thank goodness it was fine, but it sucks. I'm sorry about your pj's, but just think about all of the cute new ones you will be able to buy!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  15. I know how you feel. I have become an expert at picking things up(at home) without beding over, using my feet! I just want to live a normal life. I miss the days when I could squat down and talk to the kids in my class face to face, now they have to look up at me because I can't get down there. It's sad. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  16. I HATE getting up from the floor. It's a horrible sight. And lately, getting down is just as ugly. But that's all going to change! I can't wait to be "normal". Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  17. Hi. I am having surgery in June. I weigh275, I'm not sure how much I want to lose, I mainly just want to be healthy and pain free.(arthritis) I am older (44)so I know I have ALOT of work ahead of me! Good luck!!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Thank you. I just ordered a bottle with enough to take me right up until my surgery. Then, I guess I'll see what everyone suggests for after. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
  19. I am having my sleeve surgery in June. I have been feeling so up and down about it..one minute I can't wait, the next, I am scared to death. Well, today was yet another reminder as to why I AM doing this. I work with 2 yr olds, I was sitting on a little chair while the kids were playing. The toy they were playing with came apart, and I needed to get on the floor to fix it. I could not figure HOW I was going to get from the chair to the floor. It's the first time that has EVER happened to me. I ended up kinda falling off the chair onto the floor. I NEVER want to feel that shame and humiliation again!!!! 24. I feel the same way. I don't (at the moment) have a # I'd want to get to after surgery. I just want to be healthy and be pain free (back, knees, feet) I also heard the hair loss will stop after a while. Congratulations on your success!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
