  1. I am scheduled for June 14 for my sleeve. All along, I was VERY excited! Now, that its getting closer, I'm getting really scared. I keep thinking somethings gonna go wrong. Im afraid of complications. I DON'T want the fear to make me change my mind. I have never had "real" surgery before, just hand surgeries. Help!!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

  3. I think the only reason I was asking is because I am really getting nervous for my surgery. I'm afraid of complications. I would NEVER take anything without telling my dr, I just wish I KNEW that I will be ok, no problems, complications etc. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. My sister actually just had her first dose today. I have also lost weight on my own, over 100 lbs last time, but most of it came back. I guess I'm mostly thinking about it because of my nerves. In my heart, I really do think the sleeve is best for me. I don't mind taking vitamins, blood tests etc. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I've actually had to buy those elastic shoelaces that you put on oncexand don't have to tie again! I CANNOT tie my right shoe in the am because my back is so stiff, I can't reach. I've actually had to go into work and ask co-workers to tie it for me....how embarrassing! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. My sister has just started the weight loss injection Saxenda. It started me thinking....would that bw better for me than the sleeve? I am scheduled for surgery on June 14. I have been getting super nervous, and thats probably why I am even thinking about this. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Im June 14, and I was DUPER EXCITED until just recently, now, I'm SUPER NERVOUS!!!! Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app

  10. Hi. I am being sleeved in June, and I would like to lose some weight before then. I don't have a pre-op diet (except protein and veggies the week before) I was wondering, if,I start doing a shake (shakeology) for breakfast and lunch, and then a sensible dinner, would I be ok? (Not dizzy or lightheaded) I am 275lbs, 45 yrs old and I have a physically demanding job. Any suggestions??? Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Are you nervous? I'm starting to get more nervous every day. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  12. I have so many things I'm looking forward to. New clothes, less pain, playing with my nieces more, and, someday, I would LOVE to play softball again! I also want to gain confidance, and be able to physically move around better. Sent from my SM-G930T using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Oh, They told me it a test for an auto-immune disease would have shown if I had it.
  14. Thank you for your message. I have been so nervous about my surgery. I KNOW it will be the best thing I can do for myself, but I have a nervous personality. Good luck with your knees!
  15. I asked my dr, he said the blood work came back neg. He says arthritis. I hope it gets better as I lose weight.
  16. You look great! I'm starting at about where you did. Did you have the sleeve or bypass? I am having the sleeve on June 14. Im soooo nervous!
  17. June 14...and NERVOUS!!!
  18. I guess I'm lucky in that aspect, I don't have a weight loss requirement. But I know what you mean about the foot pain, I have it in BOTH feet! I am also hoping it goes away as I lose weight. I lost over 100lbs on my own a few yrs ago (I wasn't even finished losing before I gained it back) and nothing hurt. Hopefully I feel as good this time! Well, I am on my way into my nut appt. Good luck!
  19. I know how you feel, I have been overweight forever, obese for about 20 yrs. I just want to feel GOOD!!! Good luck!!!
  20. Im so sorry. It makes my pain seem like nothing. Good luck i hope u find relief
  21. I hope so too. My knees are VERY weak after sitting too long.
  22. I have really bad back stiffness and pain in my back. It started out only being in the mornings, now, it lasts most of the day. I can no longer tie my right shoe by myself because I can't bend to that size. I can't shave my legs in the mornings, and nowx my feet have gotten very painful. I believe I need to lose 120lbs (I weigh 275) but I am scared that the first few days will be harder on me.sincevthe more I lay or sit around, the worse the pain is. I REALLY hope losing weight takes the pain away!
  23. Hi. I am being sleeved in June (scared to death) I have lots of aches and pains (knees, feet, back, shoulders) I was wondering if anyone else had these problems, and did the pain go away as you lost weight? The pain is one of my reasons for having the surgery. Ty
