Hi. I will be getting my sleeve surgery in June, I was wondering, do you have to wait a certain amount of time to drive after surgery?

It might be different based on your doctor. My sleeve is outpatient, and outside the day of the procedure, I have no restrictions.

I wish mine was outpatient. It SHOULD just be overnight if everything goes ok.

Everyone is different. I couldn't drive for 2 weeks due to fatigue.

I won't really NEED to drive, I'm just trying to ask questions as I think of them. I have my 2nd Nut appt next week, then the following week the psych and testing. Anything I should know for those appts?

I'm hoping to not need the meds. I didn't really take any pain meds except Tylenol when I had other surgeries. I just want to get it over and done!!!! I can't wait to start working on the NEW me!!!!

For us it's the ability to do a emergency break without pain. If we are prescribed strong painkillers and drive when not advised the police can do us for it.

Love Scottish law but makes total sense.

I would definitely NOT drive if I am taking meds. Thats one reason I decided to have it done in June, when I'm off all Summer.
