  1. That's what I was going to ask. I'm having it done in June, but the fear keeps getting to me. Mostly a fear of possible complications. But seeing successes like yours helps.
  2. I am nervous too. I'm having the sleeve done in June. I'm starting to get nervous now. I have such a strong support system within my family (they even bought me a Nutra Bullet for my Birthday) I am ready to make the changes, I'm not worried about GIVING UP foods, I think I'm more nervous about eating NEW foods. I have ALWAYS had a strictly carb diet. I guess that's how I ended up at 272lbs. I am also worried about complications
  3. Did you have bypass or sleeve surgery? You look great!
  4. Thank you! Congratulations on your graduation! And good luck with your surgery! We go to Lovell. We rent a house on Kezar Lake, I LOVE IT! So peaceful!
  5. Hi. I am having my sleeve done in June, I was curious how long after surgery isnit safe to go on a long road trip. My family is planning a tentative trip to Maine (from Pa) I am concerned about blood clots. We usually go in mid July or early Aug. Also, how long do.you have to wait to go swimming? Thank you!

  8. I just told my boss today about the surgery. She was very understanding, but I'm hoping I don't have to miss anytime since I have 8 or 9 weeks off in the Summer.
  9. I am having surgery (sleeve) in June. I work with 2 yr olds which involves alot of stooping, bending, getting up and down from sitting on the floor and also lifting. I chose to wait until June so I would have approx 8 weeks recovery time ( I'm off in the Summer) do you think that will be enough time to be completely healed?
  10. Did you have the sleeve? I don't think it's the pain I'm afraid of as much as not getting enough fluids in, getting sick, breaking the stitches open (I guess that one is kind of silly) it's more those kinds of things.
  11. I feel the SAME EXACT way. I am not having surgery until June, but I am starting to freak out now. I'm so afraid the fear is going to make me change my mind. I NEED this surgery. I'm willing to make all of the necessary changes to be successful. It's the first week or so after surgery that is scaring me. AND the possibility of problems up to 2 years later.
  12. I'm scared too. My surgery isn't until June. Maybe you could post some of your qurstions and answers? It might help those of us that are panicking.

  14. Ughhhh. I have such a phobia of vomiting! (I NEVER vomited)
  15. Ok. I'm so nervous! I heard that if you don't drink enough, they won't send you home from the hospital. I have such a hard time drinking NOW, I hope it's easier after my surgery.
  16. Did you have the sleeve? I am getting so nervous. I'm more afraid of conplications than anything else. My head is 100% ready to nake changes, I just dont want the "fear" to make me change my mind.
  17. Do things really taste different after surgery? Do you think I shouldn't worry too much about buying things NOW to get used to them for AFTER surgery?(Protein shakes, greek yogurt etc) Focus more on getting used to drinking more?
  18. That makes sense!! I'm definitely working on it, but it's hard.
  19. Why will i need twice as much water AFTER surgery than I need now?
  20. I have been drinking it lately, I'm trying to get used to the things I'll be eating/drinking after my surgery in June
  21. I was just concerned about the tjings I read saying that by taking out the fat and lactose etc, it increases the cancer causing elements. But, I guess everything says that today.
  22. What does everyone think of Fairlife milk? I tried it, and it's ok. I've read on here where a lot of people are using it in their protein shakes (because it has more protein than regular milk) But I have read (online) that ALOT of nutritionists don't think it's all that healthy afterall. I'm planning on asking my nut on my next appt, but I figured I'd ask for opinions.
