You still have gas in you from the surgery I'm guessing since your hurting. It will pass

I have had nausea with this as well as my friend. We are surgically just a couple weeks apart. I asked for a scapolsmine patch, small doses of Ativan and I have an essential oil diffuser and I use lemon or peppermint essential oils and let them permeate the air. I was desperate to do anything that I could to rid the nausea. I'm a nurse so I know what to ask for. It has helped my friend and me and I'm so glad. I have also seen this combination work with my cancer patients.

What I've found with these surgeries is that after the initial rapid weight loss, the weight loss for most actually evens out to more 'average' rates of loss like with conventional diets. Mine wasn't fast by any means.
I also found when my weight loss would stall, increasing calories would not only break the stall, but jump start my weight loss again. I did that periodically the first year until I was at 1200 calories and hit my goal weight. To maintain my weight, I then upped my calories to 1300. Doing that also helped set my metabolic thermostat so I wasn't stuck having to eat 800 calories for the rest of my life.
I've said it before, but I really think these surgeries mess with our physiology. The 'ol "calories in/calories out" adage seems to go out the window, and most of the time in the losing phase INCREASING calories is the key to steady, healthier weight loss. Once our metabolism adjusts, then things seem to go back to normal when too many calories will result in weight gain.
That being said, from the hundreds of posts I've seen and in my own experience, there is little to nothing we can do to prevent hair loss and most loose skin. Sure exercise, age, heredity etc has a lot to do with skin elasticity, but once certain areas are stretched out, there's just no going back without surgery. And Hair loss is truly the luck of the draw.

    - I would make sure you have a good home made chicken broth. The crap in the can or box tastes like dirty dishwater. Make some now using chicken, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Strain it into containers.
I lived on it for the first 3 weeks.
    - SF Jello, sf popsicles, sf pudding, 1% cottage cheese (small curd), greek yogurt
Also that first week i was on a clear liquid diet...no Protein shakes. They had me sipping unsweetened apple juice mixed half and half with Water in addition to chicken broth, Water, popsicles, Jello.< /p>

Good grief!! You've lost 16 pounds in just 2 weeks. When could you have EVER done that on your own?? Can't sleep on your back? Try your side; maybe sleep in a lazy boy for a while. I did for 2 weeks post op. Hunger? Well, keep pumping in the Water. Itch from one Protein shake? Try a different one. Isopure (can get at a health food store) is a great option. Don't buy the powder. Start with the bottled stuff in case you don't like it. Be sure to get the one that's carb free. You've made a MAJOR change in your life. Of course it will be an adjustment. But post at the end of one month and I bet you'll feel so different!! Hang in there. Be strong. Know that you did a good thing for yourself and things will get better each and every day!!! Don't hesitate to reach out to your Dr. and healthcare team if you need to. Good luck!
