  1. Good luck on your upcoming surgery! You're going to do GREAT!

  2. Thanks for the compliments... you are doing awesome, as well!!! :)

  3. are you feeling satisfied when you eat? For at least 4 hours? What size of meals are you currently eating? What kind of foods are you eating?

  4. Hey there... I wish I had some GREAT 'secret' but my biggest tip is to WORK YOUR BAND. Go to the success stories and read my story. I hope that helps... and let me know how else I can encourage you on your journey!

  5. Karen, I will NEVER 'get used to that bathing suit' I don't think! LOL! I think I will never view myself the way others might view me... I don't see that girl in the picture... it still doesn't 'seem like me' if that makes any sense!

  6. Hi Chyna,

I get exercise in the form of running after my kids, and working part time in a retail job. So, I am on my feet 20 hours a week, moving merchandise around, etc. I do a lot of yoga type stretches, etc at home, so I am very flexible and limber. I also do the 'little things' like parking the car far away and walking into the store, etc. It works... It is all about working your band... Making the band do the work. Keep me posted on your progress. I am always here to help!

  7. Thanks for the compliments... I am so happy to be in size smalls! I NEVER would have imagined that!

  8. 16275d1234459611-great-stretch-move-am-when-you-get-stuck-yoga.jpgThanks for the compliment on the pic. I am hoping to post some more recent pics of me in the next couple days, because I am actually thinner now than in those pics. :) Here's one of me in my yoga pose... ;)
  9. Thanks! You CAN do it. It is a lifetime commitment. You HAVE to have a good relationship with your doc. It is NOT easy, but it is totally worth it.

  10. Saw your post on my success story... How many fills have you had? Do you feel restriction?

  11. I put a couple more pics in my album that are more current, and reflect additional weight lost...

  12. No regrets, whatsoever. My only warning is... the band is a lot of work. It seemed easy for awhile, and I suppose it was for a bit. But you also have to do lots of follow-up with your doc. You'll have time where it gets ridiculously tight for no reason, and will hope it will get better... and maybe it will, and maybe it won't and you'll need to get an unfill. my band got so tight I thought I had a slip. It is a great device, but I know it is a device I will have to follow up with for 50 years. And I know I am the 'poster child' as my doctor says, for this procedure. It doesn't work this well for everyone... HTH!

  13. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I am 5'3 1/2 so my height is very close to yours! Make sure you follow up with your doc and get your fills as needed. I still walk by a mirror and gasp!

  14. Kim,

Wow! Only a few weeks till you 'get to the other side!'. I am so glad you are at ease about your decision. I honestly can't imagine life without my band. :) I feel so much more healthy and HAPPY. I no longer am obsessed with FOOD. Love that. Keep your chin up. The banding is not an instant solution to your issues, but you will get there. Stay positive. There will be ups and downs.

Let me know if you have any questions or just want to 'chat.'

    Hugs, Katy
