Adult Question....
Thanks everyone. You know, sometimes some questions just have to be asked. And I appreciate your honestly.

Adult Question....
Have looked around and I haven't found this question. And if this question belongs somewhere else, please just tell me. I was wondering, after being banded, how was the sexual relations, with your significant other? The port area. I didn't ask the doc this question, just didn't think about it. Thanks, D'

Can you name 1, or 2 things you would love to do once you reach your goal?
Go back to Sturgis, SD and ride my own bike. Go to Devils Tower, WY and walk around the tower. Go back to Mount Rushmore and enjoy the walk around those men, instead of stopping and having to catch my breath. There's only one place I'd like to fly too: Ireland, but until I get over my fear of flying, that aint happening.

My day of testing
I'm in the wait mode too. And I have to go through a nutrition class at the hospital too. But I can't do anything else, till the insurance company approves me. Good luck..

Banded Bikers II
Hi, well, I'm in the wait mode. I saw my doc last week, waiting for ins approval. I ride a '07 Kawasaki Vulcan EN500. Only been riding a year, still learning. Doc says it could be 4-5 weeks before I get banded. I CAN'T WAIT!!! Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. Ride safe, D'

Attention All Biker Ladies - and Gentlemens!
I ride a Kawasaki Vulcan 500, I'm a newbie still, but I love my little bike. My DH has a '01 HD Dyna. But where others see the name, we just see the bikes. And it doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride and ride safe.

Biker from MS, says HI!
I've actually been riding for a little over a year. Still a newbie at it. Just got up the courage to drive 50? It's still a little too fast for me, or so it feels that way. We do alot of riding in the country, so slow speeds are great. I hope to meet and talk to more of you that have or are going to be banded. BTW I live in Pass Christian.

Biker from MS, says HI!
Just wanted to say hi. Waiting for the Ins to approve surgery. I saw this thread and decided to post. I ride a Kawasaki 500. I am still just learning, but well, was wondering. When you guys got banded, how long did you stay off bike? Did you notice anything different, in the feel of your insides, as you rode? Thanks,

Tricare Approval
Saw the doctor yesterday, they are submitting everything, BUT they want me to pay, up front, $600 for 6 fills, afterward. I called Tricare and the fills are an appoved, but they have to use the right code. They wont. So I'm thinking the dr wants money that he is losing, by accepting Tricare. My thoughts.

New CPT codes for Lap Band
Any new out there on codes for Tricare Prime code for fills. Seems the doctor I am going to is out for money and wont file with the corrected code. And if I pay for the fills with this code, I can't get any of the money back. Strange situation.

Doctor visit

Tricare Approval
I have my first doctor appointment Thursday. The hospital says, Tricare will not pay for the fills, but Tricare says the doctor has to file for it. Any of you heard this?

Doctor visit
Unfortunatelly, my insurance says I go to this man or none at all. I thought it was nuts for him to say this.

Doctor visit
Hi, Well, went to the required seminar last week. Required to see these doctors. Have an appointment next Thursday, the 13th, to get it all started. The same doctor that did the seminar, is the same one I will be seeing. Before he let us go, he stated that if we come to see him, he will talk us out of the surgery. He is one of the top surgeons, in lapband. I was wondering if anyone had a doctor do this? I am damn bound and determined to get this procedure. So, any suggestions? Help.. and thanks....

thinking about being banded
Hi Kimi All's well here. Just waiting for Thursday. I'm ready to start, everything about this. Good luck to you, too.

Time Frame?
I've been approved, have my first seminar this Thursday. But I'd like to do this by the 20th of the month. I have time off at work. But maybe I am wishing too hard for this. I will call my insurance company and ask those questions. Thanks for offering that information.

Time Frame?
I know each doctor is different, but just courious: How long was the time frame from seminar to doctor appointment to actual surgery? I'm hoping to have this done ASAP, but from what I am reading, it's month(s) before actual surgery. Am I hoping too much? D'

Waiting for ins. approval with 105 pounds to lose
Hi Stacey, I was just approved and I, too, have a 105 weight, loss goal. And, I have been with weight wathcers fo rthe last two years. I lost 25 lbs, but have put 10 back on. I made the decision, 2 years ago, that if I failed WW, I would look into a weight loss surgery. The gastric bypass scares the heck out of me, so I decided to do the lapband. I know, like WW, the weight wont come off over night. That I am starting down a new path and that I will have to work, on this as well. Good luck with your surgery. Let's stay in touch. Take care, D'

Post-op diet and Work
I work at a desk for the most part of the day. Get up when I have to. #1 I have read and I understand that walking helps, ALOT. I can do that. But what about the diet? Can any of you give me examples of what you did, when you returned to work? Do the shakes have to be cold? I don't do soda, but warm tea. This weekend I am going to these shake aisles and check them out. Any help is appreciated.

thinking about being banded
Hi Kimikay, I, too, am just starting. I go next week, to Mobile, AL for my seminar. I have started reading every thread on this site and asking questions to those I know, have had this done. There is so much to take in, but like I read everywhere, "listen to what your Dr. tells you to do and do it." I hope my wait is not long between seminar and surgery. I am ready to get it done and start losing.
