I usually have spinach because I can tolerate that but can't have iceberg lettuce.
-
I'm a year out and I know what I can't eat. Lettuce gave me a problem at 6 months been but thought I'd give it another go. I only had maybe 4 forks full and I had to stop. Took an antacid as well to help with the chest pains.

Not the eggs it's always lettuce for me and citrus foods. Been sleeved a year now. Thought it would change but it hasn't

11 months out and I don't touch alcohol or soda because the fear of heartburn and reflux. Lemons and limes give me reflux as well so stay away from them as well. I was never told not to have soda but definitely told not to have alcohol in the first year.

Standing ovation for my surgery day twin!! [emoji4]
Heeeeyyyyy Kel how are you? How's it going? I never imagined on the 4th Oct 2016 that today I'd be over 100lbs lighter. Seemed it was going to take forever to get there but I'm here now with 38lbs to go!! Want to push to get to that before the 1yr anniversary so will start working out with a personal trainer again.

It took me forever to get to 100lbs so don't fret people!! I have another 38lbs to go before my 1yr Anniversary.

I hardly ever had heart burn before surgery but boy did I have it after. I had a swallow test and they found a small hiatal hernia. Certain types of foods actually still makes it play up but I can control it now.
Definitely speak to your surgeon about it. I had to be on omeprazole for about a month to sort it but eventually it has.KJencius reacted to this -
8 months out and there are several foods I can't eat but I'm OK with that because I want the weight loss.
A few months out I had a problems with Gerd so anything citrus I couldn't/can't handle, chicken is sometimes hard to digest, ice cream (tried it in Italy) HUGE no no.
I'm part of the 'sleeved patients that have experienced the dumping syndrome' but on a few occasions.
Everyone is different so you can't really go by mine or others experiences. It's well worth it though if you give it your all and keep in mind it's a process.Lainybee1987, GotProlactinoma and drpurplepassion2x reacted to this -
And believe me you will get to a point where you will want to eat the house down. It happens I promise. With eating take it slowly. I couldn't wait to chew it was the best feeling!! Even it if was just cheese

I know you don't want to eat but please do. I'm almost 9 months out and still have days where I can't face eating but I have to. At the beginning, after surgery I had the ambulance called to my house as my blood sugar level got so low they thought I was going into a diabetic coma and I wasn't diabetic!! That wasn't the only time my blood levels were low. Even if it's drinking a Protein Shake (funnily enough that's what I am drinking now) please please please just make yourself follow plan.

Are you doing any exercise eating only 600 calories a day?

So I'm trying to forget about the numbers on the scale for the moment. Despite losing 94lbs in 8 months I'm still disappointed with the number but oh well.
I'm concentrating on NSV
Able to comfortably sit in an airplane seat - no seat beat extension
Able to comfortably wear a pair of heels YES!!
Gone from a size 26 to 16 which I never ever though I'd get here again
Exercising loads and my stamina has risen beyond expectation
Able to do a 45seconds plank which is a huge achievement for me
Last but not least ABLE TO CROSS MY LEGS!!!!! OMG I've never been able to do this but now my legs naturally want to cross
So don't beat yourself up about the numbers. Look and be happy with those NSV!!

2.5 years out - Sleeve stretching / Weight gain?

I understand your pain. I lost 100lbs and it seems like that’s it for me. I want to lose another 35lbs but I’ve made bad choices re food and I graze A LOT. My stomach has stretched but lucky enough my weight has only fluctuated 1-3lbs. I need to get back to eat properly again but I don’t know how.
So sorry about your loss. I hope you can get back on track again.
