Thank you for saying this, I've had so many people questioning why I had the surgery because I wasn't "that big" and everytime I would ask myself in my head what does "that big " mean and "how big" do I need to be to make a life changing decision? I'm also 4'11 and had a slew of health conditions that by having this surgery would help control or eliminate, is it so bad that I'm 30 years young and would like to live long enough to have babies and raise them and be healthy enough to do so?! Why do I have to be a certain "big" to want to change for the better?! I just wish some people would go back to basics, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything! That's good to hear I'm glad it moved for you, I'm taking the same advice and had my husband hide the scale and I'm just going to focus on eating well ,getting my liquids, and exercising and I will weigh in once I'm 6 weeks post op which is next Monday that'll have been 2 weeks of no weigh ins so I'm hoping the scale will be down a few pounds by then. A weight loss forum is the only place in the entire universe that will ever say "200 lbs isn't that heavy". it seems like today ive read a lot of "low" starting weights and low bmi posts. What baffles me is, most people's biggest regret is not doing this sooner, yet so many are confused at why a person would consider this at a "low weight"( whatever that is ). I say have at it . Why wait . For the most part I don't think anyone is opting to have major surgery just for shits and giggles. Some are concerned that instead of people doing this as a last resort , that its being done for vanity. Can we be honest here, yes most of us have medical problems that weight loss can fix or even save our lives BUT WHO DOESNT WANT TO LOOK GOOD?

I was sleeved may 13 this year. Heaviest weight 202. Surgery weight 193 so I lost 9lbs before surgery. At 1st month appointment I was 180. 2nd month 168. Just had my 3rd month appointment and was 155.6. I weighed today and I'm now 152. So 50lbs in 3 months!!! I'm 5'-5'1. All I have done is stick to diet. And walk every once in awhile.

I will be 4 weeks post op Friday and I lost most of my weight the first two weeks after surgery and now nothing I'm not too disappointed because I have to remind myself it's only 4 weeks I have so much more time to go and a lot of people stall but it helps to know the weight is gonna come off even with surgery weight loss doesn't happen over night

I am 4 weeks today and I stalled at week 2. Didn't lose till last week actually so I guess not a true stall. My body was just doing some major work, look up "embrace the stall" while your not losing weight your body is losing inches. Get a tape measure for the no weight loss times. Just stuff I have read on here and it does help to know that even though the scale isn't moving your body is still hard at work.

I was also insulin resistant before surgery and my BP was out of control. I was sleeved 7/12 weighing right at 202, after losing some weight on pre op diet. The last time I weighed was 186. I won't weigh again until Aug 12. Weighing obsessively was not mentally healthy for me, so twice a month is it for now. I have energy and I feel great; I started exercising as soon as I was cleared to do so and love that I can do more.

I was very very sensitive for the first 2 weeks and I am now coming up to 4 weeks post op and way better. I would drink or eat and race to the toilet 10 mins later - I was SO scared that my future would be running to the toilet ahhh!! Then I noticed it improved and instead, I would get really gassy and a bit sore. It's so much better, but I do get gas at times. I just think it's our tummy adjusting and I tried to keep away from dairy for the first 3 weeks.

I know people six weeks out, with serious complications, who are eating normal foods now with very little problems. I myself am only really good with Soups at nearly 9 weeks out, which means I can't find anything at Breakfast time that I can cope with so I have a little fruit juice with tons of Water. Not everyone goes through the stages the same.

My instructions say once on this phase introduce one new food at a time. I guess more guidance will help. Is that one new food a day, once a week, etc. I know if we tolerate we can move on.

Hoping your libido increases with weight loss. I was able to have sex when i felt comfortable which was about 4-5 days post op. You'll be able to decide which position works best. Libido can be tricky. Even if you feel great your desire may still not be there. Sometimes you just have to take one for the team (i know that sounds bad) and things may just fall into place.

"Feeling Better" !does not begin to cover the changes in the last 9 months:
1 - OFF of Metformin immediately after the surgery
2 - My knees don't sound like gravel when I get up from a chair
    3 - I can sit in a Booth at a Restaurant
4 - I have lost 1 FOOT off my waistline. Think about what that means to my major organs and my back.
5 - Underwear is cheaper once you get to a 2X (4 per pack instead of 3) and smaller. I went from 3X to XL in 8 months
6 - My feet don't hurt when I walk more than 100 yards.
7 - My daughter says "I got my Dad back!"
The list goes on and on, for all of us! This is the BEST decision I have made since I proposed to my wife. Congratulations on your New Life! Enjoy your new self.

I'm two weeks post and eating 3 meals a day (2-3 oz). I eat cottage cheese, scrambled egg, tuna salad, roasted chicken thigh, grilled pork chop, P3s, mixed nuts, Beans. Basically any Protein rich food as instructed by my dietician. I still drink at least 80 g. of protein supplements too. Food has been going great! I'm finding my "full signals", which are pressure in my chest and cold sweats .

I didn't get to soft foods until week 4 and didn't have any issues. Maybe your stomach isn't ready yet.
