    Does this seem right?

This is good to know!!! I dropped 35 before surgery and I'm 5 months out. My Weight loss keeps stalling even though I'm usually good on my calorie count. This is tough!

    November sleevers?

I'm Nov 9th too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. It REALLY is hard. I've been working at it and doing way better than I ever expected and lost about 28 pounds.. But I wish I weren't dealing with cravings or hungry all the time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Anyone have advice? I've fallen into a rut of chicken breasts and salad. And started eating too much junk food.. I need to get my act together. I still have another month at least before I get my surgery date but I want to try to lose as much as I can before then. I'm just dealing with a lot of emotional crap which makes my eating habits take a dive. Any helpful tips would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Work carry ins

These are GREAT suggestions thank you SO much. I failed today and ate the pizza. And apparently it's a big trigger food for me bc I can't have just one piece. Next time I know better.❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Why do you have to do three weeks? Isn't it normally two? That stinks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. It seems that my work brings in an insane amount of junk food. Ice cream bars last week, Bagels Tuesday, cake Thursday, pizza today and leftover cake... It is so hard to say no when I have to walk by it multiple times a day and they email about when it's ready and talk about it and you can smell it... How do you deal? Irritated

Yes! It's ridiculous! I understand some people might need the time to learn and go to appointments but not all of us are like that! Gah! I feel like they do it just to try to discourage us from following through so they don't have to pay for everyone. Ridiculous. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Irritated

I had someone else at the surgeons office double check who is the "insurance guru" rather than the younger girl who gave me the info from the beginning. She told me its 6 months now. I second guessed the younger girl at my new patient visit.. I should have made her triple check. Not the end of the world but so frustrating to me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I was SO excited to be near the end. It was giving me such hope. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Irritated

My surgeons office told me that because of my bmi I would only have to do 3 months presurgery for insurance. Then I spoke with someone at my insurance today and apparently that's the case for regular blue cross but I have blue cross blue shield of New Jersey. I WAS ALMOST DONE WITH MY PREOP WAITING PERIOD I'm so upset. Now I have 3 more months to wait before I can submit to insurance. Disappointed and frustrated. Energy levels?

I just know that sometimes on a regular day if I don't eat as much, I feel weak and woozy or shakey. It hasn't been as bad since I've been trying to eat more low carb foods, etc Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. How are your energy levels when you first adjust to the limited caloric intake? Do you feel woozy? Dizzy? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Just met with the surgeon. He was super kind. Loved him. Thankfully being fat has helped me out for once! My Bmi has shortened the insurance time frame from6 months to 3 months. My dr wrote down those three visits so hoping that should take care of it! If nothing else I saw her July, will see dietician in August and September and that'll take care of it! Best case scenario.. It seems like I could be having this done in the next couple weeks! I got my checklist of things to do from the dr so I'm setting up all the dietitian appointments and will be doing the upper gi and psych eval, meeting with their bariatric support group and going to their fitness class... As long as I can get it all done.. I'm good!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Good news! My primary dr was super supportive! I went in for my visit this morning as ready as I could to have to battle it out and sell her on my perspective and she was like, "yeah!" I've seen quite a few patients have this and be successful. So she filled out my referral paperwork and she went through our past visits and found the ones coded with EPT codes showing obesity etc so now I only have 3 more months to wait instead of 6!!! Looks like I should hopefully be able to get surgery around October if all goes through with insurance? My new patient appointment with the surgeon is Friday. I'm really excited. Also I've lost 9 pounds eating low carb, starting to slowly get back into the workout thing. HW 350.2 CW 332.2 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
